Hmmm. Possible, I'd forgotten about that. They'd still need some sort of transformer to take the electricity generated and convert it for the lights... like I said, let's not think about it too much.

I don't think it was 30,000 feet; nobody can breathe at that atmosphere without oxygen, let alone the cold. On the other hand admittedly they could have been descending all the time after Riko made her exit. Given that there would have been decompression after she busted her way out, and given that neither of them seem to be having breathing difficulties, I doubt they were at that height - oxygen is required once you go above 10,000 feet.

Note however that the first mention of altitude is 3300 feet, which is not that cold, and where the air is breathable.

it was great! very great... left out some parts of the novel, though they were not so freakin necessary... but... that f.in censorship...will they get [Victory] censored too?... omg... i really wanted to see that creamy, porcelain-white skin...

anyway... looking forward to the next one

No doubt the animation is this episode was rather crappy, but, meh, it's always a possibility that it'll look like ****(or vice-versa) expected given the art style (>.>). In particular, the part where Aria pulls out her swords and cuts Riko's hair was drawn atrociously(the whole thing was like 8 frames X0<).

I REALLY liked the moment where she was talking after she got injected with that needle. Kinji chalked it up to being incoherent, but it somehow garnered sympathy from me. I kinda thought she was cute =03, even though I felt bad for her. I guess even Kinji couldn't resist wanting to console her.

It was nice to see that Kinji worked with Aria like a true partner, even though he probably could have taken Riko by himself. Those were probably the nicest moments of the episode; where Aria and Kinji would reassure one another that they believed in each other =03.

So how the hell did Kinji not get sucked out of the plane after the explosion?

The comedic ending was a bit off-kilter, given the episode's main content, but it certainly makes me anticipate some Shirayuki/Aria action(or antics =03).

I can see the outrage now. Not portraying Kinji's Hysteria mode properly for his sudden "landing skill" is this episode's failure. other than that the rest of the changes are trivial, and the BGM and mood is pretty cool.

I was under the impression that whatever it was had some funky side effects, because Kinji said something like the medicine was too 'effective', then proceed to steal her first kiss because it was obviously the right thing to do

Holmes is generally pronunced just like in English, unless the french speaker is really bad, so they would in this case "skip" the H, they aren't going to alter the complete pronunciation either. So if transliterated in Japanese, it would be read as "オームズ / oomuzu", not that different from the initial pronunciation.

Oh well, I'm not even surprised considering how they made Riko's VA pronuncing her "flench" lines in episode 4.

Gave it an 8/10. Good episode, but the lack on inner monologue on Kinji's part really killed a lot for me. If you didn't read the LNs, some of it may be confusing, like how he was able to cut a bullet in half. Not to mention, they completely left out one of the coolest parts of the LN-- where he was able to listen to a dozen people at once explaining how to fly and land the plane, learning how to do it just from that. So, it conflicted with him needing Aria to fly at first because he didn't know how-- and then suddenly, he did. Plus, they left out so much great stuff, like really destroying the whole scene with the Razzo.

Looking forward to Shirayuki's yandere mode next episode.

isn't that a complaint to the sub? we don't know anything about that.

Is holmes in french still holmes? and not ormes or "all mess" because in the novel. Riko keep calling Aria all mess as to her name.
