Ika-chan is still cute, Chizuru is still super strong, Sanae still creepy, an enjoyable first eps

the budget seems to be higher too

the new OP may be a better song but the previous one sounds more fitting for this series

Yay the return of you beloved Squid Overlord! How I've missed you so!

Sanae poor girl can't catch a break...however the death glares she was tossing around in the second half of the episode was funny.

Also about the Jellyfish I just so happen to catch a nature show about the over population of the Jellyfish worldwide...I think Ika-chan is on to something.

Well ... I thought I would give S2 ep 1 a try - definitely consistent with S1, so fans of that should be quite satisfied with S2; at least if ep 1 is any indication of the rest of the season.

"Fried squid", or rather "Fried cuttlefish", is a Chinese metaphor of being terminated from employment.

Ika With a Question Mark 02 - Mayo Ika!

Squids are trying to brainwash our youth! Even if she's incompetent at it, Ika's ideas for invading always prove to be amusing. Though she's not going to conquer with soccer, that much we're certain of. Seeing Ika go into a cocoon of sorts was cute. I didn't know she could do that.

As for the second segment, the recurring theme of ruling by fear seems to pop up in this show. Chizuru rules by fear. Ika rules Nagisa by fear. And even Ayumi gets a chance at ruling by fear. Though there might be a fetish for girls with brass knuckles. Anything's possible.

For segment three, Chizuru utterly destroying the scale was quite a sight to behold. As was Ika getting carried off by a bird. But I found Sanae's gags the best, mostly because of the double entendre nature of "okazu". Yes, Ika is okazu to Sanae. Don't need a telescope to see that one.

This episode made me love Nagisa even more. I'm waiting for the doujins. Loved the part when the kids rolled Ika around after her kick.

First two episodes have delivered more or less the same as first season. This second episode was funnier than the first, more introductory episode. I hope they will keep this up.
