Not to be entirely on topic, but why does everybody think Kefka was so cool? I just played VI and was very unimpressed. He was just a sprite that said, "kill, die, screw you!" At least Sephiroth had ISSUES and much better character design (ie...not a sprite)

I agree with you that Kefka is not a cool villain, but I disagree with your poor argument that it's because he's a sprite. It doesn't matter one bit.

wsheit - I suppose you weren't in on Final Fantasy VI when it was released (way back in my youth...). In the days of 2D gaming, especially for RPGs, I think there was alot more engrossment and active imagination on the part of the gamers. Kefka has his trademark maniac laughter in that cheesy soundwave bit for the SNES and other various dialogue that made him quite the endearing figure for us gamers then.

Then again you should know everything about the old classics are somewhat exaggerated..

Kefka is endearing in a way. He's got those weird lines in the game too. (i.e. "Son of a submariner!")

But you also have to give the guy some credit, since out of the many FF villains, he actually got to destroy the world. Sephiroth is... well, Sephiroth. I still remember him as the villain with deep mother issues. Of course, that's not all there is to him, but it's sort of funny that way.

It seems the handhelds are becoming quite the little monsters for RPGs old and new nowadays. I was actually tempted of buying the PSP for the Valkyrie Profile remake alone, and now there's that FFIV remake for the DS. Damn.

Well PlayStation lost Parasite Eve... now it's heading for Mobile Phones. Can't believe no one mentioned it either, now I have a reason to buy a Mobile now with Agito+PE3

I'll be buying a NTT DoCoMo FOMA & well the unknown mobile for Agito once I hit japan sometime next year for a few days; doesn't need to be an active phone. Just hope they really do what they said about releasing Agito completely unlike Before Crisis's Episodic game. I doubt it will ever release outside of Japan.

Anyway, Sony's Gamer Event is next week, they should be showing off their '07 games and announcing new stuff and what not. Just hope that it's worth it, and not a non-event. Like Mr. SquareEnix just demonstrated...

Not Sony for PE3, no idea for Final Fantasy Agito XIII but Parasite Eve 3 will be running on all NTT DoCoMo FOMA Mobiles, unless when the game is almost 100% complete it will be on selected Version/Series of it.
