I jumped to the train's roof followed by Black Wolfness and this so called Jesse James, I had heard some stories of this bandit in Sun's Hill but I never gave importance to them, now I was fighting side by side with him.

“Yeah I know” Jesse replied, he was the first one to open fire and his very first bullet hit on the head of a rider killing it immediately.

We started a battle against the undead riders that were surrounding the train, Jesse James never missed a shoot, Black Wolfness killed several of these creatures also, I managed to kill some but not as much as my fellows. Even with this, no matter how much we killed, they just keep coming.

“Who are these guys?!” Jesse Asked

“We told you, they're demons” I replied

“Demons uh? I didn't though that when I faced some of these guys near the mountains of the Red Horse”

“Wait... you already fought against these demons?” Black Wolfness asked

“Yeah... a pair, we just though that they were some ugly guys”

Black Wolfness couldn't help but laugh and shake her head, a Banshee flied over us but Jesse dispose of her all by himself, If I'm not wrong, he just used 6 shoots, all hit the head of the Banshee, this guys was really good.

Suddenly we heard a sound similar to metal being scratched a few wagons ahead.

“I think that something got inside the train” I said

“You both go and find out” Black Wolfness said “I'll stay here”

Jesse nodded and walked back to the hatchway.

“Let's go kid!” He told me before jumping inside the train again.

“Good luck Black Wolfness” I said to my friend and jumped inside the train also.

The Vatican Regulators and Jesse's bandits were fighting the undead from inside the train, Jesse and I walked to the wagon from were the sound came.

“You're a pretty good gunslinger, you knew that?” I said to Jesse

“Well thanks... you're not bad either”

“With your skills you could be an enforcer of the law instead of an outlaw, you knew that?”

Jesse laughed and shacked his head

“You're not the first one who tells me that and for sure you're not gonna be the last one kid”

Before I could reply, the metal of the wagon in front of us was ripped of and a big Glutton came inside the wagon.

“Oh shi---!” The impression of Jesse was big looking at this creature, he immediately start to shoot against the monster but the bullets were useless against a Glutton, the enormous Pig demon spitted a bunch of corrosive acid, I jumped and pushed Jesse out of the way. We both fell near some boxes.

“Thanks kid” Jesse added, I couldn't reply, I was a bit embarrassed because I fell just over him,

“Look out!” Jesse moved us out of the way of the Glutton's machete, thanks to this I discovered that the boxes were actually filled with dynamite, I quickly grabbed a cartridge and turned it one with Jesse's cigar .

“What are you...?” Before Jesse could end his question, I jumped and put the dynamite inside the mouth of the glutton. “Oh crap”

Jesse grabbed me and jumped along with me to the ground, the dynamite exploded and the Glutton was killed, all its remains fell over us actually.

“I've gotta say... you're crazy kid” Jesse said removing pieces of meet from his shoulder.

I couldn't help but laugh, suddenly the train stopped, Jesse and I stood up and walked outside the vehicle, no signs of undead or any other demon, we spotted Black Wolfness, the other Vatican regulators and Jesse's bandits.

“Why do we stopped?” I asked to Black Wolfness.

“We're here” She replied, I turned and saw the big canon, inside the canon was the native territory from where these demons had came out, the Hell's door should be there... and Hell's Gunslinger also.

“Alright... let's go then” Jesse said

“Wait, you're coming?” Black Wolfness asked.

“Well, I wouldn't like to see more of these guys, back there you said that these freak were coming out of that place, so... maybe we can help, plus I never say no to a good duel of guns.

Black Wolfness just laughed and began to walk in the canon's direction. Laugh is not bad I think, specially when you don't know if it is gonna be the last time that you're gonna do it.

NOTE: Yeah, I stop showing the intro and ending because after 13 chapter posting them, probably you know them very well alredy

For some reason, I was thinking of two pairings while reading. On one hand, it was NanoFate, on the other, Yuunoha. But then again, almost everything works.

Oh lolz...Satashi did say "choose your own pairing" . On one level, it could be NanoFate, but on so many levels its not. Obviously the short is pretty much directed to whatever ship the reader imagines in his/her mind.

I don't like too much this kind of fic because usually there is no characterization and my work is to be pessimist so I always end up taking the worst possible interpretation. But this time we got some hints of the personalities and story of the main characters that for first time leaded me to get NanoFate, our canon-friendly stubborn/stubborn paring.
This is just an interpretation, of course. I'm not imposing the way others should interpret the work from other writer.

I don't see Shamal as the stubborn type, and they don't age either, but I think people can make the choices they want even if they don't make much sense in the characterization or the story.

This one is best applied to all the turned criminals in Nanoha, which includes Vita. Heck, Vita is still carrying a lot of guilt in StrikerS.
