That's true as well, since she was not being accused or anything, merely playing the role of a "victim" of a serial killer who seemed to have killed everyone except her.

I don't believe that Yuu was the culprit even for a second and I hope Ayumi doesn't seriously suspect Yuu because of what the cute twintail girl said and do something stupid.

Also all pudding belongs to Yuu.

A good 3/4th of the episode was pretty stupid. Definitely not looking for fanservice in this anime, so I didn't really care how the animation suddenly got really good on those parts...
Though Kanemoto won the episode though. Kanemoto...

That classmate that talked to the protagonist was pretty cute. Reminds me of that girl in that Yoku WakarANAI Gendai Mahou thing. Sohara also appeared.
Though the sunlight... There were plenty of other scenes that showed sunlight hitting the protagonist but nothing ever happened, so I thought that sun going through the window was okay, but now in this episode, he suddenly needs an umbrella?

Some new girl named Kyouko... Since she is that silly idiotic friend's friend of sorts, I'd think she wasn't really involved in the story, but damn, she was suspicious during her talk with the protagonist. It is almost a promise that if some other character tries to frame a main character or cause distrust between a group, the real enemy is the way spreading those rumors.
Well, and her other actions are pretty odd too.

I can't escape the feeling this is a tragedy posing as a comedy, though it's still just a feeling at this point. The violence is just a little gorier than it needs to be, the humor is just a little meaner, and there's a moment or two in every episode that's so much darker than the rest of it that it's a little bit shocking. And I can feel a kind of gloomy, morose depression lurking slightly under the surface all the time, just busting out at odd moments...

I wasn't hoping this is a tragedy, but I do hope for more depth. The comedy is good though. Saw the entire set of 6 volumes at Kinokuniya yesterday, was almost tempted to grab them, but then, no time to read.

Well definitely an interesting episode. I thought it was mostly going to be silliness and fanservice, but they managed to keep the main plot moving along. This Kyouko girl is definitely suspicious to the extreme. A girl that claims a connection to Ayumu, but he doesn't remember. Someone with a sword (while apparently wooden) under the bed. Also someone that pointed the finger at Eu, which is ridiculous. Someone without any relatives to confirm her origins and someone who actually befriended that sad friend of Ayumu's.

Certainly easy to speculate that she is the actual killer. Could have seen Eu at the scene recovering Ayumu and learning through the papers that he didn't die. Approach his friend and constantly ask to see Ayumu. Using an excuse that you were attacked by the serial killer to perk his interest and then start sewing the seeds of doubt about Eu. Of course using her cute looks to make her seem innocent and gain his interest. Now maybe she is just curious why he didn't die or she knows he's a zombie and is interested because he can't die.

Now all of that could be utter nonsense and really she is a victim. Her family could have been attacked and she was the one who called out for help in the flashback. Maybe she was saved by Ayumu distracting the killer (who for some reason mostly left her be) and the only person she saw was Eu who was recovering Ayumu's body in order to revive him. Maybe she got in the way mistaking Eu for the killer and was knocked aside.

Still find it hard to believe a normal girl would just be introduced into such a major role at this point. Being the killer just feels more likely to me. It'd make it tough for Ayumu since fighting a cute girl with twin tails and a large chest might be tough. Though he did fight Sera and has much more reason to fight the one who murdered him.

I'm going to feel bad for Eu if Ayumu starts acting differently because he has his doubts about Eu.

Anyways a fun episode with the girls going after pudding. Loved the super jenga battle and a great game of twister. Sera might have some attitude issues around Ayumu, but still a hot girl. Some good moments for Haruna including her battle against the pudding in the dream .

That girl in the hospital is definitely suspicious. My random theory is that the actual killer is some sort of spirit that Yuu is pursuing and it possessed that girl and killed her parents. Now it is trying to get close to him and casts doubts because he realizes that Yuu brought him back (the killer did kill him after all), and wants to turn him against her.

I'd keep it on the safe side and automatically assume no. AS is extremely anal about a lot of things, and spoilers are definitely one of them.



Anyway, I kinda agree with what Enzo said. I know it's a comedy, but I can't help but feel they're trying to actually put something deep/serious in there somewhere (for who knows what reason). I doubt it, but the 2nd episode brought up some concerning information that seemed a little darker than the initial tone the show gave off. I have yet to see the 3rd episode, tho. Will comment on it later on today.

Someone in an earlier post did mention the author wanted a dark feel for the novel but was "corrected" by the editor or something.

Going off the tangent here, Sera only called Ayumu a piece of shit once in this episode. When she's alone with the other girls, she addresses him by his name.

I strongly doubt this is a tragedy, but I agree this show probably has a few dramatic moments in store for us. There is some kind of duality in this series, which was also present in the PV. I don't think it's "posing as a comedy", both the comedy and dramatic aspects are an equally integral part of the whole package.

about the sunlight and zombie. sunlight definitely affect more on ayumu and make him weak compare to other human. but not like he will die instantly when he hit by sunlight. it just matter of annoyance. he technically will "survive" if you leaves him dry on the sun (he is zombie after all) he just dont like it

This really does remind me of Angel Beats. Not only does it feature humourous deaths, but the comedy to drama transition is a little jarring. Unlike Angel Beats however, I'm still not sure whether I'm supposed to take the drama bits seriously.

I'm truly surprised, when i first heard about this series, I thought the whole serial killer thing was going to be a plot line that they may once in a while whisper softly about it while the main focus would be on comedy (not alot of romance going on as well), but as it turns out this murder business is taken as a rather serious main plot huh...
