Neogaf account activation...

...so how long have you been waiting? I'm three years and counting...

Something is wrong with that. I would try again or contact an admin or moderator. It shouldn't take that long, right?

You don't simply make a Neogaf account...

And the admins have disabled emails as well.

I know they let people in in waves, but is it typical to take that long? Maybe something went wrong with your data when you applied. Or does it really take a few years for people to be let in?

It really does for some people. With me I've been registered since 2010 or earlier but the activation codes they send me don't work and I've still never been verified.

You have to use an email different than a major email provider, right? For exmaple, most people register with an email they get from their ISP, correct?

I ask because I think it is time I register for neogaf. Best video game forums out there, hands down.

Yeah you need an email from like bellsouth and comcast etc.

And you will be waiting for a while.

Resend the activation code? Tried that earlier today, it doesn't work.

I was lurking animegaf today in a Space Dandy thread. Doesn't seem so bad lol.

It takes a bit. They only seem to speed up the process if you can verify that you work in the industry, especially if you're experienced. That said, they're really twitchy with the banhammer. It's kinda needed with the traffic they get. Helps keep the trolls out, somewhat, but personally I'd rather lurk there than post. I mostly use it for news anyway, since that's where most gaming news comes from these days. And really, that's the only reason it's grown in popularity over the years.

What do you mean by that? I don't really know anything about the anime community on neogaf, mind you.

Not going to work the same day, you're pretty much back in queue if you lost your place so to say. 3 years isn't normal, I got in a few months after resending mine.

Though you know, it's not like a mod on neogaf posts on these forums or anything, you might want to shoot a PM his way.

Nah AnimeGaf is fun, just too many fucking pages (in the OTs) to read lol, it's like to I catch up on the 15 pages I missed while asleep and at work or do I actually watch anime? A few other suki posters post there, you might've seen some.

Nearly 2700 posts on Gaf myself and I haven't been banned once... *kanye shrug*

Just apply common sense and stay out of some "obvious" debates on gaming side and off topic and you're fine unless you meltdown.

Posting stuff like "lol Wonderful 101 sold 5k week 1 in Japan, I can't wipe the smile off my face" in threads multiple mods are going to read (Media Create) is pretty damn stupid.

Just apply more caution when you're a junior member since any ban is permanent in that instance (or so it seems)

What does 'bestgaf' mean? They are real critical of animes and picky with which ones they think are good? What does 'nbagaf' mean?

bestgaf probably means it's the best board on NeoGaf, and nbagaf is probably the NBA thread/section/ w/e they have there. That would probably be my home...if I ever get on there goddammit.

And Wes when you say "resend" what exactly do you mean? Because all I get are activation codes that don't work. It doesn't seem like I'm resending a request for activation.

Personally I had to wait 3 months and I thought that was ages compared to other people I know. Have you tried re-registering?

I can't because the email I used is the only ISP/paid email I have. Or do you mean something different by "re-register"? Because the only thing I can see I can do is re-send useless activation codes.

I don't know how you can browse animegaf threads and not notice who it is... he made the space dandy thread on gaf.... same username here and their.

And I can't look up how to resend your "registration" because whatever that option was it's obviously gone since I'm a member. But look through user cp, and for anything with email.
