Ok this is the slow version....a certain Diodati claimed that I was a ShizNat fiend so I felt it necessary to own up to the designation....this line:

And being the ShizNat ho everyone claims I am (*coughDiodaticough*) *cackle* these will do nicely.
Does not say that people are claiming that I'm YOU, silly. Read the sentence carefully.

Say, what magazine was this in? It's funny that there is all this extra art for 'Mai-HiME' and neither of it manages to make it in any of the artbooks.

There is always some extra images floating around.

Concept art I found on accident. I'll use spoiler tags just in case.

Spoiler for Mai Otome:

No need for the spoiler tag. This one was circulated after the first ep aired, if I remember correctly.

Spoiler for Mai Otome:

Hmmm....someone speculated it was fanart, though as it was originally found on the 2chan board.

I'm not sure where the art-work actually originated from...I've been running Mai-HiME/Mai-Otome searches via Copernic (parallel search engine software) and pulling up wallpapers, fan-art and various naughty pictures from a wide variety of sites.

Ahh, I see. Thanks for pointing out Copernic....I'll check it out myself. Sounds like it produces a vast amount of results.

Hey, you're welcome. Copernic is decent and at times pulls up a HUGE amount of data. Other times, just Google alone will do the job, but I'm kind of a search engine nut.

I'll keep my eyes open. If I find anything, I'll post it here.

Cheers.

Ohhhhhh okay, how did I read that so wrong.

I feel really dumb now. I think I'm going to go and cry in the corner.

Seriously though, I never said you were a ShizNat ho! (although... )

There's a lack of 'ureshi' under your name that I'm not coping well with!

Duran - I can't find any wallpapers of him, although I may be able to convert some of the caps of him into one...:

Best Duran pic ever...

Copernic is useful. I run a Pro version, but not the latest as far as I am aware. The image search function alone hasn't ever gotten me many decent results, but doing a web search has had me stumbling across some cool (and some scary ) stuff. Sometimes I prefer Google, but it's a good utility to have.

I have a question since this is a utility type program how does it stand up with doing searches in Japanese or looking for images on Japanese sites?

Reasonable, but not much different than using Google. You're better off using Google (or even Dogpile.com) to look for such results if you want to stick with something that's free. Copernic, if used right, can produce good "web" results, but pure image searches, as Preston mentions, are fair to poor...and there isn't a "blog" search feature yet, so a Google or Yahoo blog search will produce better seaches of non-English sites.

Some other good Metasearch engines:

- Mamma.com
- Gigablast.com

Also:

- http://perrin3.com/links/japanese_search_engines.html <-- List of Japanese Search Engines (Example: http://www.goo.ne.jp/ )

If find Goo to be quite useful.

Thanks on that note. 'Dogpile' I remember that one when the internet was really up and going. No where as flashy as it is today. Hahahaha!!

I pretty much use 'Google' and do searches in Japanese. I also use some of the fanart search engines. I've managed to find some decent fanart but not the ones posted here. With the exception of 'Maruto', who I've known for quite some time now. So I've always kept up with him. Actually, I have one of those 'Mai-HiME' anthologies featuring a segment he did. I'm sure 'Sunrise' will eventually start posting new artbooks.

I just wish that 'Sunrise' when they put these books together they would put in ALL and I mean ALL of the commercial art used for the series. It's crazy enough that you find a image here and find another there. Out of all the artbooks that I did purchase there's always images that didn't make it. Maybe they're saving them up for some "ulitmate" collection.
