"Advance" wasn't entirely just about the course that Teko has to accomplish to push through her diving license. It was, in the end, the process of moving forward and past her fears and doubts on life, from moving to a new town to trying out a new interest and discovering new friends.
For the first time, Teko was no longer the anxious lady that wanted to tread the safe route. Yes, she was still afraid of something, but she is now pushing forward AND inspiring others to take the plunge. Omedetou, Teko. ENTRY #337 GET. 9/10 overall.

The manga thread is locked for some reason so I'm posting this here.
I read the final volume of Amanchu yesterday, ending a journey that started 12 (!) years ago. It was a bit sad to say farewell to Teko and Pikari, but I'm glad to see a manga I've been following a long time ending on the mangaka's own terms. Amano got to do what she wanted with it. The final volume was really interesting, switching the POV to Pikari entirely. The yuri undertones came back full force. The character that grew the most over the course of the series was of course Teko, who has completely come out of her shell by the end of the manga. I won't spoil stuff unless people ask, but it was a great ending. I loved this manga very much. While it lacks Aria's charm, it's still very good.
