After the frankly weak #17 (no recipes!) Sunred is back on track with a whole batch of kick-ass episodes! Yay!

Ep18... Dolgon-kun is a bit eh... metrosexual. What's up with that too-well-shaped ass anyway? The details those people put into this show is baffling.

In ep19 we're even treated with a new animal-soldier and some more p-chan magic. Duck porn? Never thought I'd live to see that...

And ep20 is, as many of you stated earlier on this board, just brilliant.

As a seasoned anime consumer I can't praise Sunred enough. Banzai!

Epiosde 18 was animated by none other than Mamoru Yokota.
A veteran adult game artist that's been one of the best in the industry for close to 20 years.
From various masterpieces in Elf/Silkies era, to his own company Terios, he's been a fan-favorite for decades.

That's why the ass was animated so well.

I am shocked. That's the first time Sunred's done anything remotely like a toku hero. It wasn't in his own suit, but still. The posing, the explosion, the named attacks. That is the stuff heroes are made of!

good show. series like this come out every other blue moon, or so.
i like the sense of honesty and down-to-earth-ness of everyone, especially Master Vamp.
in the good ol' neighborhood where everyone know everyone else, it's people like him you can expect to rely on for advice and encouragement when things crumble around you (i.e., now.)

i actually tried some of his recipes, but they didn't come out very well. gotta learn to cook more...

Yeah, i'm glad they've finally shown something we'd expect to see in this story, though still it's hilarious how they were making fun of it. I love Vamp's, number 1 and the monsters comments on it.

Seeing a Maid Cafe (episode 22) in Sunred seems almost as out of place as seeing Sunred acting heroic. But more Hengel is fine with me - he can make anything awesome."

Also liked the "elemental powers" of the Weather Three -1. A lighter and a hose. Unusual for Sentai heroes, but hey, if it works...

Kudos to ANBU for making this creative decision.

Also, punchline of the episode: 'Do you actually expect me to dig my own grave?!' - ROFL

No recipe this week, and not enough Vamp screentime too. Pity.

The last part was pretty funny with how Red was itching for a fight. Kayoko's blush was pretty hot.

I look at this episode staff and we've Tatsuya IGARASHI as episode director. He's the chief production director of Bamboo Blade.

Man, same here...just watched 23 and that end really cracked me up. Gotta love the Animal Soldiers. It's amazing how this series got progressively funnier.
