That was a great episode, and nicely paced. Didn't feel rushed for a second, so i'm glad the choice of having a recap last week didn't spoil this episode at all. Animation was top notch as well, which is needed for this part of the story.
Highlights are the return of Greed which was handled very nicely, and May's hilarious meeting with Ed. I'm so glad they left that in, and i laughed just as much as i did with the manga.

I can't even describe how disappointed I am with the new Greed voice. I wanted to hear Miyano's badass evil-voice as Greedling but now he sounds like a fifty-year-old guy!!! The episode was too rushed and it lacked the same emotional mood that the manga had. I miss the scene where Ed and Ling argue how they should fight against father. It's one of my favorite scenes.
And I thought that Brotherhood wouldn't disappoint me anymore. Maybe I should just stop watching the series since it's starting to ruin the manga.. |

Anyway, it's not the shows fault that's you expected something, and it didn't happen.

Could someone please let me know if this scene was in the episode? I couldn't tell from Omni's screencaps and if it's not I am going to be pretty upset because it's probably my favorite moment between Ed & Al in the series.
Spoiler for For Chapter 53 scene:

If you've read the manga, you should have known Greed's VA would return for this. It was always pretty obvious to me.
Anyways, it seems like they covered a little over 2 chapters in this episode so I'm a bit worried, but reviews seem to be positive so we'll see. |

And I always thought they chose Mamoru Miyano as Ling's VA because he has the ability to voice such a different characters from goofy to evil and badass. |

Also, I didn't like the track they picked for Greed's appearance and that they didn't have him laughing like a madman like in the manga. But other than that, it was still a pretty good episode. The animation was some of the best we've seen in the series. Father disabling alchemy was cool. As was pissed off Scar. As was the look of Ling inside Greed's mind. And Ed vs Greedling was short but sweet. Also, the eyecatch was great and very fitting. Quote:
