I think there are really three main girls, and Chise and Mujina are more side-character-ish. Dynazenon didn't exactly do a great job on character development outside of the most-main characters, and Chise just didn't feel on-level with the other three.

Agreed. Chise got a great amount of attention. Yeah, a huge arc wasn't centered around her like the mystery around Yume's sister. But she was pretty constantly active and had her own mystery. She had a doubly emotional finale considering how things played out.

I guess this turning out to just being a movie isn’t terribly shocking. Don’t have to worry about the scope of a full blown tv series. Can instead have some flashy fun in a shorter movie.

Kind of disappointing though. Means a smaller scope just by the nature of film. Plus who knows when we’ll actually get to see this since movies can take forever to get official global releases. Still going to be enjoyable. But hype died a bit compared to the end of Dynazenon when this was announced.
