Not yet, the film is still being shown in the theater anyway.

No unfortunately. Not when it's still airing. I'm surprised few here seem to have seen it especially when several posters here are in JP.

I'm more surprised they're continuing to run films in the Japanese theatres right now on account of the pandemic. All theatres in my area are shut down, and movie distributors are considering moving to a "stream on HBO while theatre runs movie" model.

Country I'm in is largely stable for now so our cinemas can operate under regulated conditions, thus why I can watch stuff but yeah, Japan's theatres still running is very lenient on their part.

I would think such films would generally attract only a handful of viewers per session though since the audience is niche. But then again....Kimetsu.....

It'd be nice if it would hit Netflix soon after.

A bit of unfortunate news – the movie hit unforeseen manufacturing challenges as a result of the ongoing pandemic and the BDs are now being pushed back to October 13, 2021.

The movie is licensed by Funimation, couldn't they show it online?

Movie's out on Netflix now I had a chance to watch this one back in August and it's a fitting conclusion to things. My thoughts won't fit in a forum post, so I'll provide a link to my impressions of things and note that this was a good movie to watch.

For some reason we won't get the movie for another month.

Watched it on Netflix last night. It seemed way too long at over two hours and way too melodramatic. There were still-frames that lasted seemingly forever, and the story itself could have progressed more quickly. Also the story about Ann's granddaughter felt pretty unrelated to the rest of the material. Yes, it provided some background to Yuris's story, but it wasn't really needed for that.

As expected the illustrations are lovely, but I can still only give it a 7/10 given the weak story-telling.

The movie's BD came out in Japan and is a huge success, selling nearly 89,000 copies in the first week. What I find strange is that it sold so much even when you can see it on netflix.
