Vol10 is about conflict between noble and civilian. What happened in Vol8-9 cause people lost their faith in noble.
Also king position has changed again.
That made Melida's father became a king, So commander of legion has to pass on another man.
Civilian's side use Melida as a symbolic.
Noble's side use Elize as a symbolic.
To prevent civilwars, Guild gave assasinate mission to Kufa. And target was Elize.
Kufa tricked eveyone without killing Elize. But he get caught then get banish by his guild. Melida and Elize transfer to same school with Mule and Salacha.

It's been a while I've been interested in reading light novels. It's not easy to get them in North America area but I do hope the anime version will bring it to the shelves in English or even French. I really enjoy its concept. I like how the bond between Kufa & Melida is helping in their growth differently. Especially in

Volume 5 where it became their turn up point when Melida has discovered his vampire self. Kufa wants to suppress her memory not only for his mission, but also out of fear of being rejected by her. Melida unexpectedly hugged him saying she'll always be on his side even if the world abandons him and compliments his looks. She became the first who accepted him and the only one outside of his guild or Lyncanthrope whom he confided his secret with

Spoiler for Answer:

1. At that time, A King was Salacha's brother. He invited Lycantrope to capital. Lycantrope were Non-bloodshed, but there were some people against that. And Melida was their hero. In the end, Salacha cut her brother arm, then took his position. But she passed position as a king to the next high class family.

2. That why civilian don't trust Nobles. Civilian claimed their science can fight Lycantrope too. Even ordinary people can fight. They refered Melida as how she was Non-Mana before.

3. Melida is some kind of hero, so guild can't do anything to her. They have to kill Elize instead. As for Kufa, his guild acknowlege he cheated reports about Melida. This mission was to prove himself. Finally, when the 2 sides debated, he temporary swaped Elize and Melida's Mana to ruined both sides. After that they ran away safety. But Kufa was caught by his boss. His boss gave the last chance to finish his mission. But Kufa has refused, then they fought each other. In the end, Kufa won. He didn't kill his boss.

At this moment, Manga has covered Novel around 1.5 volume.

In Vol6, Kufa told him that his daughter just want some father's love.
I don't know how much is Melida's dad know.
But as a head of Hi-Class family, They should know something more than other.

The author seem doesn't tell to us clearly yet.
