Yeah, it's Sasorigatame, the illustrator for the series. She's already appeared in various eroge from different publishers, as well as in light novels. She's primarily illustrates young girls.

For me, the plot is very original. There's none of anime that involving a character who's revealed to be an human form of a geometric symbol (cube, triangle...etc.).

Sounds like it could potentially be really fantastic.

I don't care about gore either way, it neither sells nor dooms a show as far as I'm concerned, but if there's a well executed dark atmosphere to go along with the bloodshed, I'm all over it. The cover art looks very nice too.

Also, Tamura Yukari is always awesome, I still suffer from withdrawal from her Togame.

Casually came across an article while browsing Dengeki and the female lead caught my eye immediately. Then checked the PV and I wasn't disappointed at all.

Since this has Shin Oonuma directing it, I'm expecting more towards a more stylish/bizarre depiction of violence than in-your-face gore.

Indeed. I'm most always up for a moderate amount of gore here and there; however too much leaves you with something of a numb feeling that, as you adequately said, kills the whole experience.

I have to agree, and I do believe they made the right call with that. Fia's very distinctive nature really doesn't suit her to be portrayed in that sense.

Rather, to have such a character that one might almost certainly attribute with moe as being the very opposite is really quite attractive in its own way. As a tool of death, embodied in the form of a little girl seeking to break away from her predestined purpose; it's such an intriguing concept that I really don't find myself in wanting for much else.
