2:1? Almost all forums in Chinese I have visited are about 4:1 Sheryl-Ranka. And no, this one is a general discussion thread in that forum as it seems they don't have a sub forum for Macross.

Edit: a rumor, it's said Ranka surpasses Sheryl in NT poll of september.

Actually the thread starter is a known Sheryl fan and most of his work are Sheryl centric. So it has became an understanding that any thread started by him is basically a Sheryl centric thread.

Wow... Alto is #2 that comes to me as a shocker. Ranka #3 is harder for me to accept. She's ahead of Haruhi and Shirley? No way

Shirley doesn't really deserve her spot. She got a plot related bump for obvious reasons. Ranka has had a great couple of episodes to make her more popular while Sheryl has done next to nothing. Still pretty impressive for both of them and Alto.

The same reason why Lulu is on the no. 1 list. If only the younger folks would recall a certain LoGH some 20 years ago...

Well, I actually really like Shirley. But I kind of see why she got her spot this month. I think she'll go back down off the charts soon.... like you said, Sheryl takes a few episodes off and Ranka passed her up. Sad. The only characters who refuse to leave are Lacus and Kira.

Well if Ranka didn't surpass her in Newtype this month she never was going to, Haruhi will probably continue to slide slowly until the second series starts up, Shirley will drop.

Not because Grace said so and the Vajra favoring Ranka make her the best. She's more like a idol for me.

Aimo is arguably the best song, but not at its best in Ranka's hands. That's two different things
