I can already see the princess having a crush on "uncle" Shin.
Would be funny if the author created a side story playing 10-15 years later with silly princess antics and her getting all nervious when she hears Shin is going to visit the palace.

and it is Liu Bang not beng. If you want to list China top ten Greatest Emperor, he would be on the list.

Guys Guys, calm down, this show is very loosely based on history, there's so many changes already that none of it really matters. Just enjoy it for what it is, and bask in Shins amazingness!

@DevilHighDxD

because it was about Chinese greatest emperor; not just great. greatest. by logic i had not even mentioned Shizu of Yuan and Genghis Khan. it was widely accepted Chinese Greatest Emperor would mostly include:

Qin Shihuang Di, Tang Taizong and Kangxi of Qing.

there ade some historian who included Liu Che (Wu Di of Han) but in my opinion his predecessor ; both Wen and Jing surpass him greatly.

@Breimoon , ninjastarforcex

actually using pinyin is the correct and normal pronounciation.

@Xellos-_^

agree. hence i did not bother mentioning him. Song made numerous embarassing and disgraceful result. they might be the richest, but their achievement was considerably disappointing.

after Four generation from Zhao Kuangyin , the Northern Song has no reliable successor (past Renzong of Song). Zhenzong was by far considered making numerous cultural improvement from codification of Wujing Qingshu and improvement of their social life. however their meddlesome emperor in military deployment inherited from Zhao Kuangyin paranoia of being betrayed by his prefect general made many setback in military achievement.

hence Song had the history of being the vassal state of Khitan Liao, Jurchen Jin and Mongol Yuan. this specially noted after the Jinkang incident where the Northern Capital Kaifeng fall to the Jurchen and both Emperor and Predecessor were detained. Southern Song themselves was disappointing as the lack of ambition of Gaozong which led to the death of Yue Fei.

also Ming made blunder in Tumu Gate.

@HayashiTakara
so far, the author was quite faithful to the interpretation of history. his only straying off are his Five Dragon of Wei and the Light Shenanigan of Yingzheng (which made him like Mencius). so i don't think it is that loosely based.

@ DarkDooM
i agree. it would be nice memory for her to last until Huhai was enthroned.

ps.... so, it is okay for Li Xin to be hole brother with Yingzheng by letting him banging on his consort girl? -(slow clap)- pretty nice guys. it is not okay screwing widow but okay to be swinger party, yeah.....that is good.

Xin was amazing in this chapter. And acting so casually around the emperor's sister is so like him

About the Song Emperors,they see competent military leaders as a bigger threat to the Empire than nomads due to the events that transpired during the fall of the Tang Dynasty,where overly powerful generals basically took over control of provinces and ruled as feudal lords,overthrowing the Tang Emperors as time passed on and usurping the throne.Due to the way the first Song Emperor took the throne,who managed to gather support from soldiers to overthrow the under-aged Emperor he was supposed to protect,the Song Emperors knew that the same thing could happen to them if they let the military remain powerful.As a result,they went to great lengths to weaken the military,including the appointment of unqualified scholar-bureaucrats as commanders,who tends to try and command an army miles away from the battlefield(as if radios were invented).It wasn't just them however,even to it's dying days,there was a strong distrust of the military within the elite.Scholar-Officials tends to see soldiers as nothing more than butchers who were directly responsible for the chaos that transpired from the fall of the Tang Dynasty and had them classified as the lowest caste.Even if the Emperor was trusted the generals,the scholar-officials always try to convince the Emperor to have these generals stripped of their power or executed.

yep. that is true.

need to note that Zhao Kuangyin's way of taking over military command from his subordinates and deputy was seen as exemplary. historian recall this as "Taking over command with a cup of wine" elegantly and profounding.

now compare to the likes of Gaozu (Liu Bang) :
Han Xin (ensnared and then killed with stran of cloth, strangled to dead)
Peng Yue (hmm.... mince meat, tasty burger)
Ying Bu (revolted after seeing Liu Bang treat his other loyal general)

on the other hand Shihuang himself was quite a suspecting fellow; hence Wang Jian feigned avarice to put ease onto his mind. This what made him an even better generan than the likes of Li Mu.

or even worse what Zhu Yuanzhang did to all his friend, allies and companion even from the White Lotus (Red Turban society) or Ming sect if you read Yitian Tulongji.

Liu Bang and Zhu Yuanzhang were basically the scum of society prior to their ascension to power.Neither were particularly well educated and were little more than local thugs.

Possibly it's because of the fact that they aren't particularly well educated and aren't nobles to begin with that they don't feel bound by conventions and are thus highly pragmatic and Machiavellian in their approach to power.

Buddhist monk in Shaolin Monastery is a scum?

damn internet of my country , btw here is my reply for your newly posted post

or just simply racist. people are racist that they feel the need someone of same ancestry leading them no matter whether they are Jie of Xia or Zhou of Yin.

well, though i admit that good leadetahip is necessary.

I consider him someone from the drapes of society.Besides,there are good and bad monks.Monasteries were known to be hideouts for tax evaders in China throughout the ages.Some were basically fronts for brothels.

you read too much Feng Menglong chicks lit yeah i know that kind of erotic story do happen, whether they are female buddhist monk or female daoist priest . and i like them.

Good Guy china, making cosplay sex cool even before nun porn and fellatio... and Feng Menglong's cosplay daoist or monk sex are often cool because of cheating , depravity and netorare element

well that is why religion organization are nothing but sham. whatever i do they ask money money and money....

speaking of which Feng Menglong do makes many interesting allegory. some even pointed on to famous story around Chinese Emperor.

430:

facing 30,000 troops against 1000 cavalry need Godspeed? i wonder what did Zhang Liao had when he was facing against 100,000 army of Sun Quan's only wjth his 800 riders.....

Changpingjun compare himself as even stronger than Meng Wu? that is..... pretty bad comparison.

I wonder if they ever heard of someone named 'Xiang Ji style named Yu'; The Conqueror of West Chu

Shouheikun is boss. I didn't expect him to be stronger than ever Moubu (though it remains to be seen whether that statement is entirely correct).

Man, that grinning duke is getting on my nerves, even when he's panicking he's constantly plastered with a grin on his face. I can't wait for Shouheikun to wipe that grin off his face.

I'm guessing right after Shouheikun kills the duke, we'll cut back to Shin who'll undoubtedly have come face to face with the main general what's his face.

Spoiler for non-fiction history:

431:

stop foreshadowing he will become future King of Chu! (not spoiler, the one shot manga chapter of ChangPing Meng Wu already spoiled them)

as strong as Meng Wu and as smart as Li Mu? big deal. Wei Liao kick his sorry ass then.

" The Book of Army Management says: On the field of battle, the spoken word does
not carry far enough: hence the institution of gongs and drums. Nor can ordinary
objects be seen clearly enough: hence the institution of banners and flags. - Sun
Zi's Art of War , chapter VII Maneuvering.

well, at least He Liao Dao know the basic, and this foreshadow Li Xin's greatest fall out in the future thanks a lot, He Liao Dao... so Li Xin has to sacrifice himself to spare your sorry ass. good job, really.

still no Huan Yi. i guess the merits for capturing Lao Ai goes to him.

The smirking bastard, died smirking, only fitting. Now it's time for Shin to take out the General Hanoki and put this whole thing to an end. Can't wait to see Shin's promotion.

I'm sure Shin is going to stumble upon him heading back in for cleanup and will take him out then.
