Btw, what's with the part at the end when they said it is fictional and any resemblance to real people or organizations is coincidental?

It's a standard disclaimer for any show. If you read the credits for any Hollywood film, you will find this disclaimer as well.

That was pretty hilarious for a first ep A pretty crazy set of characters The only one who looks normal is San's mother ... she looked perfectly fine with the arrangement ...opposite to San's dad lol

Is it me or does San seem a bit tsunder-ish (well, not the best description, but i am too lazy to think of anything else). At any rate - this should be pretty good. I guess the main problem is going to be for them to get some alone-time without San's dad lurking in the vicinity, armed with large rocks and other objects, both blunt and sharp

well after missing the first ep in raw im actually glad that i held out for the subs so that i was able to experience and understand this first thing :3

i dont believe that ive seen a series with mermaids in so i guess this was a plesent surprise :3 the reaction with the "please make me your wife" line was just amazing...poor guy getting smacked by the legendary left hook (which can only be used once a day mind you) and the "take responsibility" part making things extra bad for him

then masa turns up...haha this is just gold ~ kaa san being rather unfaithful with a thing for yaoi...nagasumi loosing his first kiss...phew it was fun :3

Well, she's got a rather... unique tsuderish ability. You'll see more in ep 2.

And, as I predicted, this anime needed some subs to finally take off. I hope gg doesn't delay the episode too much (but I wouldn't get my hopes up, due to the high number of series they're subbing).
