I think I might be a few who noticed Kairi went out like how Big Boss passing in the same fashion in MGS4 - smoking before dying. While Mordred smoked before gone, Solid exchange smoking the same cigar with Big Boss.

Big Boss: "This is good... is it?"
Kairi: "This was fun... is it?"

Then dropped the cigarette/cigar.

Really like how they used MGS4 reference to present the father-son symbolism with smoking.

That's because Rin is a prana monster and even she loses 80% of her Circuits to support Saber's existence. But, considering Saber is one of the greatest Familiars in the world and she uses gems for her magecraft, it's a trade-off well worth it to have Saber in her harem with Shirou.

I was kinda disappointed with Mordred's death.

Based on how she was introduced, and how she was treated later in the story I always half thought she was either a protagonist or antagonist. She acted like one or the other too.

In the end, though, she was a side character and died a side character.

It was a good death by my account. She didn't have to die, but she wasn't going to leave someone else she swore her blade to. She chose how she went out, not desperately trying to grasp a grail to redo her mistakes but coming to her own conclusions and get some closure for the decisions she's made in the past... much like Artoria did.

But, ultimately, she's had less screen time than Sieg. While everyone is the main character in their own story, Sieg's tale is the one being told.

Did Sieg Sword(not balmung, the one Jeanne gifted to him) have a name?

Astolfo gave it to him. It was just a sword iirc.

So Shakespeare's Noble Phantasm is one of those things.

Makes its victim the star of their own tragedy.

An ability like that can't be without its flaws though? Maybe it's susceptible to outside interference?

It's weak af, actually.

He has to set it up before hand, needs to know who his target is, and they have to actually succumb to his provocations.

If Shirou (who can discern True Names at a glance) wasn't his Master, he'd be living dead weight.

I see, so the conditions to use it were only just right, huh?

Still, this is one of the reasons why I've always been of the mind that even low ranked servants are at the very least, to be taken seriously.

Yeah, there's a subset of servants who are super weak 99% of the time but in the right circumstances can screw over just about anyone.
