Remember that old trailer named "Mortal Kombat Rebirth" that appeared like 1 year ago on Youtube? The so called 'New Mortal Kombat movie' was actually developed into web episodes under the title Mortal Kombat Legacy that will start to be released this April 12th.

Here is a "preview" showing a fight between Kano and Jax in some sort of 'flashback' or back story that coud give a new interpretation of how Jax got his mech arms and Kano his bionic eye.

It looks pretty neat. I hope it holds my attention until it's completion. I'm finding it more and more difficult to watch terrible shit these days.

Nice to know Jeri Ryan is going to still be in it. Definitely a fan of hers...and it's pretty much because she's ridiculously hot.

Looks pretty cool. I saw the fan-trailer when it came out. Kinda disappointed they didn't make it into a real movie, because the eye-candies were sweet. In terms of loyal adaptation, however, seems like it's getting a lot of fan hate. :\

Honestly the only reason I'd watch it is because of Jeri Ryan and Michael Jai White, who is an awesome martial artist. Other than that, I'm not looking forward to it too much. I don't like the premise at all. Mortal Kombat was always designed to be in a bizarre location where things that don't make sense can actually work. To merge that with the real world I think is just a bad idea...especially when it comes to revamping some of the characters like the bad guys. All of these psychos happen to know martial arts? Come on now.

Took a while for old media to really get into new media. This is a good step in that direction.

Heh, I just watched this on Youtube thanks to Youtube recommending it because I watched some other thing on Machinima.

All I have to say is... wow. Jeri Ryan looks awful. I mean, I knew she was starting to look bad in the later seasons of Voyager, but damn she looks like two miles of bad road. Sonya Blade's supposed to be pretty young I thought...

I can't say I'm surprised she looks this bad; I didn't like her as Barbie of Borg, and I dont' like her now... hard to believe she's only like 10 years older than me.... o.O
