I still need to watch this fully, but it's glad to see another addition to Minor Ja Nai's one-shots. Hopefully this'll get fully fansubbed in the future.

Though, looking over the episode a bit, I can already say, I'm going to really want more. I've fallen inlove with the opening song, though I wish the version included didn't have such an echo. Well, that's classic anime for yeah.

I am downloading this episode as we speak Wizard of Oz was one of me favorite kiddy movies . I hope this show recreates the same magic as the movie : D

I absolutely LOVED this anime as a kid. In recent years I remember thinking back on it and wondering what happened, because I would have loved to have had it on VHS or DVD.

I hope someone picks this up for the whole series, because I want to see it again You should have seen my face when I realized which one this was, I was so excited even to have just the first episode again!

Minor Ja Nai subbed only the first episode in hopes of promoting interest in this old show. It was their desire to either convince another group to fansub the entire series, or else attract staff dedicated to the project so that they can take on the entire series themselves.

MinorJaNai's seed no longer appears to be active, as I am seeing a 'no torrent links found'.

I remember seeing the dub of this a long time ago, so I'm interested in seeing the proper Japanese version with good crediting.

I can't find this on MJN's site, does anyone know if their work is still floating around somewhere? This 1986 anime series lasted for 52 episodes and I think it would be very entertaining.

I took a look on Nyaa and did find something related. One says "The Wizard of Oz (1982)" and the other "Funky Fables OVA - The Wizard of Oz" and both specify English dubs.

That's not really any good since ideally subbed raws is what it should be. I guess they get lumped in with English translated anime too Anywho I think they might be this thing:


Edit: UPDATE! I managed to get the episode from a bot on MJN's irc. Someone teach me how to make a torrent out of a file, I've never done it before.


Once this is done I'll add the .torrent to Nyaa and hopefully animesuki can track it.

I also found a link on tv.com http://www.tv.com/shows/the-wonderfu...d-of-oz/watch/ apparently lets you watch episodes 22-25, which is of course pretty useful. Plus for some reason I'm seeing Sabrina the Teenage Witch for ep 22 and Busy Town for 24, so I don't know how legit it is.

Nyaa has Raws for the entire series I've seen, so this is an anime which could be obtained for any group looking for a project. I think I might go look around at the ones I know to do good work on classics who may be nearing the end of the series and looking for something new

Note: 1-shot #1 was Hikari no Densetsu, #5 was heidi. Assuming based on placement that Peter Pan was #3. They have their own sections. #6 was Oz, not sure why it's gone.

So I kept looking for a torrent file that works. http://bitsnoop.com/mjn-one-shot-06-...-q8936750.html appears to track the file but I'm having problems when I try to rehost it on Nyaa so I'll keep looking.

It may be possible to DDL from http://anime.thehylia.com/downloads/...e-wizard-of-oz though I can't confirm this.

Any updates on this series? I have the whole series in English, but would LOVE to see it English-subbed from the original Japanese.
