The math problem itself wasn't a problem... It is that I can't see it well enough to solve it in the pic.

Actually I have seen that in action many many times. IRL.

Those pontoons go out to sea to dig up the underwater mud and soil. I have no idea what is that for, but I think the soil is for plantation purposes due to it being rich in calcium.
