I have to say that I'm rather disappointed that despite the anime there's been no hint of any new scale figures. Just two figmas, one being hardly different from previous versions, and one ultra-expensive limited edition.
Stop slacking GSC and get to sculpting! I need more beautiful BGS/BRS figures in my collection! |

I on-hold err dropped it around Episode 6. I don't know why. I just did.
I am a BRS Fan since around 2007-2008 and I totally give most of my respects to the OVA. I kind of like the first beginning episodes of the anime. But sooner or later it got so deep and confusing. It's like tasty looking spaghetti but it's actually bland. I guess I have to watch it again and finish this then. But I guess my hype on this is minimal now They did a good job on Yomi though O//////O megane~ <3 |

I thought the OVA was spectacular and deserving of more of the same. Just saw the first ep of the anime...I guess I'll watch the rest to see how it goes but I don't really think I care for it. The art is a mile away and the story and characters are just not anywhere as intriguing yet.
Saw the AMV by Supercell and that was pretty neat. I gotta get my hands on the OVA dvd though!

anime > OVA for me. I've been a BRS fan since the last ep of the BRS anime being aired.
That's just because I'm biased that anime has IBRS XDD I hope that IBRS scale fig won't be as expensive as the figma ; __ ;

At last! I have finally finished the series, with a ten-month delay.
I think the series works only if the viewer would or can tolerance high amounts of melodrama. The plot does explore the rocky-road side of high school life, and I'm pretty sure that not every high school story is pastel colors and smiles all along. Saya, like all humans, do make mistakes, and her mistake here — manipulating the hearts of innocent girls to do her bidding — ultimately backfires when she brought Yuu even closer to her death when she dragged Mato (and BRS at the same time) into insanity. Mato, Yomi, Yuu and Kohata also portrays the different "defense mechanisms" that a person turns to when facing painful memories: stubborn passivity for Mato, seclusion for Yomi, hiding in a facade for Kohata and extreme escapism for Yuu. Mato's capability of facing her problems is what made her triumph over Insane BRS in the end, and it was the key in protecting Yuu and the Otherworld from suffering from self-destruction. However, as life goes, the battle is not yet over for them. No matter which side you look at, there is nonetheless a tough battle — whether in the wastelands of the Otherworld, or in the streets of Real Life. I rate this show a 9 in a 7-10 scale, for being able to tell a decent story and being straight to the point about it.
