Assuming Bakarina becomes a success, I wonder if this'll pave the way for more anime adaptations of otome/shoujo isekai light novels.
Esp. when you consider nearly all the isekai anime so far have been drawing from shounen-seinen themed titles aimed at male readers. |

Voice drama #1 — Geordo This seems to be the first episode from the Geordo's point of view. That is to say, content that was cut from the anime proper. That said, there's no subtitles or anything yet.Edit: I wouldn't mind fansubbing this, but I don't really know how to download this nor do I know where I could upload the result. I had read a bit of the light novel and manga before but its pretty fun to see this animated now. Particularly the internal debates. I'll probably follow this show, its been pretty hilarious (and its a nice change on the typical isekai story).

That was just as fun as people were claiming it was. The original Catarina was a real bitch, but the reincarnated one (what was her original name? Guess I'll call her Bakarina like everyone) is a real sweetheart. And a bit dumb, yeah, in a good way. Given that her personality couldn't be more different from that of the villainess, everything is going to turn out fine, she doesn't even need to devise special plans. I'm a bit worried about Geordo though, since she says he had a dark side in the game, but I'm thinking that was result of Catarina's mistreatment. He did try to contain a mocking laugh at some point, but that could have been purely innocent.
Anyway, little brother's in the bag already.

It's on some torrent sites? So I don't know if I can actually link it. Google can find it though, search for "My Next Life as a Villainess" and "Voice drama".
I don't think there's much issue with it since the original is freely available on Youtube, but… |

This first came to my attention via this blog; the concept amused me enough to merit continued observation. Its being easy to imagine Bakarina briefly channeling one Jean-Baptiste Emmanuel Zorg...

And from what I've read, the butterfly effect will indeed be in play. While most of the examples shown are actually positive, I hope Bakarina remembers that the other sort remains a distinct probability. Also, for the sake of information...

So how exactly did she die?
I only saw she remembered she died but did not show the cause. Then there is a real Catarina? Who knows if the real one comes back and takes control. This is worth watching and it is not because of magic and fantasy. |

Yeeeeaaaahhh, not really sure that's how it works in here. There are some works that have the MC "remembers" their previous life after some event but still retaining the current personality, but this is not one of those it seems. Katarina was even shown to not immediately realize she's Katarina and she still need to research basic infos about the world which should have been obvious to her. For all intents and purposes, the original Katarina was completely overwritten.

If I remember correctly the novel explained that this lack of basic information is because Katarina didn't know this even before she remember her past life. The explanation of the novel is that she changed her personality a lot by remembering her past life. There is also an extra in the novel (which will probably not be adapted), where it is implied that a certain trait of her personality is inherited from her current mother (Katarina's mother) Last edited by Konja9; 2020-04-09 at 11:08. |

Then I'd say that would be closer to our MC inheriting Katarina's memories. I mean, I guess you could make a case for either and it seems the author have a preference, but for now I'm going with my interpretation anyway, feels less contrived to me. I only read the WN long ago so only the old version of first arc in the LN series but I never even thought of the alternative interpretation until I see this thread.

From my understanding from the light novel she is Katrarina ,she was just a real spoiled kid not really thinking about her actions. Her past memories just made her realise just how much of a brat she was being and made her hyper fixed on her bad ends. Part of the games Katrarina's issues are because of her mother. In the game timeline her mother never found out that the adopted brother wasn't the father's kid so she was extremely bitter.
