Actually a fansub has been out for months. It is nice however to see that this particular fansub has finally come out. I will treasure watching the OVA again.

Just look at the first post in the thread for clarification on MFI media. They just don't list the fansubs on this site.

That's why I didn't post a link for the OVA. I figured it's okay to mention that it is available. I didn't know there was a previous one either. I didn't find it in the the usual places I frequent.

Anyways.. after watching, I can say: This is a very different style from the previous two series. Higher theatre quality to the work too.

I've been wondering about something, does Alicia have a place outside of Aria company? I've been having trouble keeping tabs on her "after hours", coupled with what I assume about the company building's floor plan.

Anyways.. after watching, I can say: This is a very different style from the previous two series. Higher theatre quality to the work too.

I read somewhere that an interview regarding the OVA stated that the selling point of it would be more of a visual feat. Still has a "lol, bloom" quality of the original, but I can't but think there's something "sexier" about this one.

I'm pretty sure she lives at the Aria company building --- when we see far away shots, a few more windows are shown on the top level, so i'm guessing she lives upstairs.

Back when i first heard the news about the Aria OVA, i knew for a fact this was going to be one beautiful work, and it 100% delivered. Everything was beautiful about this OVA, right down to some wonderful close up/blush shots.

I know the third season won't be able to capture this level of quality, though it was nice to have the chance to see Aria in this form --- it makes you wish for a full length 90 minute movie.. now that would be a dream come true.

There's an episode where the area around Aria Company has a scheduled blackout. Akari is nervous about the dark, so Alicia offers to spend the night with her (and not go home).

Yup -- that was animated in Aria the Natural episode 9.

Heaven forbid the third season doesn't suffer from the same quality as the TV airing of The Natural! But yes, it was nice to have a full production OVA - even if it was only one 30 min episode.

Aha, so I wasn't going crazy. I think that was the episode/chapter that first got me thinking.

I kind of thought it weird when Akari mentioned Alicia not having to stay over for her sake. I thought,"Wtf, Akari, she's in the same building. Are you that big of a child?" Then I let the comment sink in and considered her living elsewhere a possibility.

Reading this, i wouldn't be surprised if we never find out about Alicia's sleep-in place (in the manga or anime), i mean it doesn't make sense why she doesn't live at Aria Company. If it's one bedroom then fair enough, and i can see why Akari would sleep there, being in training and all.

Okay, maybe not a family, but the first thing I mentioned still remains one.

Even in the first series they mention that Alicia isn't staying at the Aria company. When we're first introduced to Aika and Akira they get into an argument over Akira's harsh training methods. Aika ends up sleeping over at Aria company for the night, and she's disappointed that Alicia doesn't stay there.

All that aside, this OVA was fantastic as expected. I was all warm and fuzzy inside and misty eyed throughout the whole thing. I can't wait till the new season comes out.
