As much as I like to join in on my sighting of public gaming, I thought I'd return the topic to the rumor mill:
-Gizmodo says it could have a 3G radio for over-the-air downloads. Oh meine gott, are we going to see a Verizon 3DS or a T-mobile one for girls? http://m.gizmodo.com/site?t=JJkrloA0...Ew&sid=gizmodo -Nikkei is said to have said the correct launch time-frame could be the second half of this year (would explain why there might already be working demos at E3) http://pcworld.com/article/192204/re..._feedback.html I thought I'd include this link for laughs, most of it is worded as fact http://semidoppel.com/nintendo-3ds-revealed/ |

Monopoly means they own the entire gaming world with no competition. Which means Playstation and XBox can't exist for Nintendo to be a monopoly.
Microsoft was sued over having a monopoly (because windows was the only mainstream O.S.), but they got out of it through loopholes and such. And to prevent it from happening again they helped resurrect Apple to gain a viable competition.

While it's been mentioned here before about the Sharp Parallax display, a recent Engadget article tells some interesting things:
http://engadget.com/2010/04/02/ninte...rrier-display/ -3.4 inches -480x854 resolution (comparable to some of todays Android and WinMobile phones!) If this 3DS has this, how very interesting. Now I just wonder how you play non-3D games through a screen like that. Even more interesting, this would definitely mean more graphical/CPU power, unless they want to embarrass themselves by letting DS games retain their original resolution with no upscaling on a screen that size. If anyone here is still following this 3DS, here's some new stuff that just popped up:http://engadget.com/2010/05/17/is-th...-nintendo-3ds/
An interesting thing, since I believe Nintendo said there'd be working demo's at E3, that seems more likely since this FCC test was around April 30, giving Nintendo enough time to probably have the wireless all sorted out in time for E3 which is like next month. Hmm hmm. |

Well well well, now that the big 3's conferences are over, it's probably safe to say Nintendo brought the biggest storm to E3. While I'd like to talk more of that, this is the 3DS thread, and I'll say I am very pleased with what I saw. If you ask me, I like how there was practically no leaked image of the 3DS leading up to the conference, and wow,.... surprise?
The biggest news I like about the 3DS, is how Nintendo is looking towards what games can be ported over to the 3DS. With more power than the DS, I have only one thing to say: Nintendo, there's no excuse. F Zero X, now. I have been waiting for an upgraded F Zero fix since I bought GP Falcon for the GBA, and while it seemed like a good idea for the DS, it never looked like portin over N64 games was easy. Now, it looks too easy. Nintendo, I know I'm getting a 3DS, but don't let me down now |
