Well, it actually is a 12-Episoded Season, just with 4 extra episodes.
However, as the First Season had this exact same trick, I think we can expect them to be directly related to the story, making it a 16-Episoded Season after all, hehe.

Is this really hard to grasp? Aniplex did this with the first season as well as Bakemonogatari, it works for them. (And you could argue it kinda happened with Madoka, just wasn't the plan lol)

No fair warning, this series is coming back with season 2... can't believe the news didn't come sooner. I love the characters in this series, the least would be Kirino. I'm here for Kyousuke!

Saw it, it was so awesome, and Kirino is back with a vengeance

Ahh it's great to have this back. It feels good, and a great start too. Looking forward to some more content next week.

I'm going to rewatch season 1 and then watch the OAVs (I never watched them). I have OreImo on DVD and it has the OAVs. Season 2 picks up on the alternate ending from the OAVs? I don't know what season 2 picks up from.

Strong start to the season if you ask me, everything that made me love the first season was here and more at the start. Kirino hasn't changed at all which doesn't bother me but a lot of people seem to be jumping on the Kirino hate wagon again after the first episode. The OP was amazing, but that is to be expected for ClariS and making amazing OP's in recent memory.

The link has the actual ED for episode one instead of the OP if anyone is interested

Just want to remind people who may have this thread in their subscribed list that the first episode thread can be found here, and full sub-forum listings are here. Probably better to post your episode impressions in the appropriate thread, rather than this general one.

After watching Kirino, who I'm usually going for, I found her to be really annoying and immature. I feeling as if I'm starting to for Kuroneko instead. I like her mature and cute demeanor better.

Kuroneko sometime freaks me out because she is too out of this world :S.

Almost all of Kirino's tsun is directly at Kyousuke - for Kirino it is the way to interact with Kyousuke, as otherwise they would still be ignoring each other similar to the start of season 1. Remember in the eyes of her normal friends and in school she is still the perfect model student - and this is no act.

Here is a thought I had:
if Manami actually looks a lot more attractive, will she gather a lot more fans and supporter?

She is the kind and understanding childhood friend who would stand by Kyousuke's side through high and lows. She pretty much radiates as waifu material.

So imagine this
instead of this

Given the history of her character, I doubt it.

Nanami is so much more than just "understanding third-wheel", though.

I am using her pic only for the looks, not the character, so please forget she is Nanami for a second .

The question is more towards anime viewers.

What has Manami done so far (in the anime) which push people away from liking her?

(this question originated from seeing a character popularity poll and seeing Manami on the tail end of things)

She has done..... nothing. So there was no real room for any popularity.

She hasn't exactly done nothing. She has integrated herself into Kyousuke's everyday life: listening to his troubles, sometimes walking home/to school together, etc.

So far in the anime, she really is no different from a lot of "childhood friend" characters from other series who usually have a good group of supporters.

She has even less appearance and importance than them, and she's like... Far away from most of the issues in the story.

Those other character you speak off are probably the second main heroine or something.
