My problem is that, y'know, I've GOT the series, I've GOT "Macross Perfect Memory," and I've GOT the storyboards and scenario scripts (although I had to spend ¥7000 for those)...

I think its a good time to do something big. Not much of a competition from the Gundam front this year (then again, neither was 00), certainly a good opportunity to boost Macross.

Or if Big West is trying to be careful, they can wait until Guilty Crown, Last Exile, Shana, and/or FATE to finish airing.

I often compare that book to War and Peace, both were published at the same decade. I have to say, I like War and Peace a lot more, because that series actually put a smile on my lips occasionally!

Of course, the classic 4 volume Soviet movie production (note: most expensive movie ever) based on the novel also helped my likings for it, extremely.

So yeah...FIRST MACROSS ON BLU-RAY. It's coming. Available currently for pre-order on Amazon at a fairly reasonable price!

Hm, I haven't really seen it being displayed in ads. But cool. I just thought I'd mention it. I merely glanced at the site. It looks to me like they still aren't sure what to do for the 30th anniversary yet. I didn't see anything that looked significant to mention. What I did go back and translate seemed like it wasn't different from what we already knew.

Either way, it's great that the original series if finally being released on Blu-Ray.

And on the subject of money and competition: the last few Gundams that I've watched really don't count as competition to Macross. So I have a feeling we're fighting more with other series. As of late, K-On! and Guilty Crown, as well as certain others, have been the hot topic. Though, shockingly enough, we could also view the "budget crisis" as everyone wants to take a break (ie: the people who did Frontier) and gave a little white lie. After all, after Frontier's success, they HAVE to have plenty of money to work on the 30th anniversary.
