As an ending song for Ep19 ED, it couldn't have fitted in any better. After everything has gone to shambles, this happy tune plays and throws a little irony into the mix.
"Wait, what? Was I... rejected?" *faints* "NOW IT'S CHRISTMAS! THERE ARE SMILES EVERYWHERE!" It just cracks me up. Something like a satirical epilogue for the episode |

Really liked Holy Night.... though I thought it was kind of random how they started singing in the middle of the party out of nowhere. Kitamura could have at least introduced or something... isn't that the job of an MC?

Series composer Hashimoto Yukari 橋本由香利 must be given due credit for contributing to the excellent mood this series has generated. The writers can only go so far without music.
http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E6%A9%...A6%99%E5%88%A9 From her wikipedia entry, she's only previously composed for a live-action series back in 2003 and an obscure anime series before Toradora, though she's composed lots of anime OPs, EDs and image songs, including "Orange", which is growing on me day by day. |

Orange is addicting. It could be because it's the current ED, so I'd probably need some perspective some time after the series is over to see which one I really like best... but I think out of the four OP/ED songs Orange is currently my favorite.
I dunno, I especially like it because I thought the lyrics fit Toradora really well. Like Vanilla Salt, it's about how love isn't all sweet... and how perhaps it isn't supposed to be. Among other things. Such as the line where it's like, "It's just that I don't know my true self." Much like Toradora, where characters are often conflicted about what they want.

Well, comparing the songs by singer(s):
1) Pre-Parade > Orange. 2) Silky Heart > Vanilla Salt (although I'll take the MV of Vanilla Salt over Silky Heart any day. Horie Yui and school uniforms don't mix.)

Does any site have the lyrics for Orange, broken down according to who among the 3 seiyu sing which lines? I came across one for Pre-Parade, but can't find one for Orange. Eri Kitamura's voice comes out quite distinct in the song, but I'm having some trouble differentiating between Rie Kugimiya and Yui Horie.
