An entire episode of talking

Good focus on William though. And we'll be back next week for the action again.

Perfect. That hit right home, as a former MMORPG player.

I liked the episode, but William's speech turned out to be a lot longer than I thought it would. It didn't seem that long in the light novel, but since they were showing everything as well, the pace was slowed.

I like how William Massachusetts made a rousing speech that not only shows what he was back then, but he brought his guild back to their feet!

Kudos to Will for not giving up!

There's only so much monologue I can handle, show. x_x

Well anyway it's cute that the elf guy admires Shiroe, and Shiroe also happens to admire his monologue skills.

Another hit home episode for MMORPG players. However I really don't expect the monologue to take entire episode lol. Don't know how non-gamer will feel about this episode

Well, that's one way to make a filler episode, but i'm used to monologues so it's all good.

It really did. The soundtrack was nice too although that was one of the longest anime monologues I have ever seen.

Even though it was mostly a speech, it was probably one of the best speeches right after Reynessia's appeal to Akihabara for help against the goblins.

A good epsiode, it takes a deep look into William's character and explores the social implications of being a gamer. I'm sure anyone who's spent any significant period of time in an MMORPG can relate to some of the stuff talked about in this episode. I know I could. It also explored being a guild master as William and Shiroe found parallels between each other while each looked up to something that the other could do but they couldn't. The team has reignited their resolve and is ready to try again. How will they deal with the impossible hurdle of three raid bosses at once? Looks like we'll find out next week.

I'm a non-gamer, but as someone who was into science fiction long before it became acceptable, I could easily identify with William. An excellent episode.

ah..... it hit the home base.... perfectly. The voice, the bgm and the atmosphere makes it perfect. I'm glad to see this episode. It full of feels to it. The feeling of a gamer and as a gamer... or rather a past gamer. I gave up playing MMO last nov 30 because of work. I don't have much time to watch anime anymore other than the time when I'm going to work. ah... as someone who doesn't have much friends and even if I have. we are busy in our separate work that we rarely meet(other than conventions) the only friends I met are online. Friends I raid with in WB. Friends that I join in event. Help in Event and party together to level up with.... friends that I gave up because I don't have much time anymore. F8ck real >_> .....darn. this episode made me want to start playing again.

As William said, we're the ones who say what's important for us. If your job, or Real Life for you is more important than games for you, then focus on that.
When your priorities will change, you will be back, and so will I.

A mostly talking episode, but liked William giving that rousing speech, especially after such a brutal defeat. Tough boss mechanics are one thing, but that encounter was just broken. I'm only a minor MMO gamer, but still loved seeing them get back up again. Although MMO hardcore raiders trapped in an MMO is a bit wish fulfillment, but still liked seeing their renewed resolve and enthusiasm at the end for this tough encounter. Can't wait to see how next week's boss fight will go.
