Well ... This version of Makoto could drive all the guys in her environment crazy by being an enormous tease and playing with their emotions as if they were nothing, perhaps? Then she realizes how badly she's hurt Katsura and that she's nearly driven him crazy, and she finally makes a commitment to be with him. This drives Siaonji into a jealous frenzy and he kills her in a moment of rage.

Nice picture. As for that doujinshi, I only saw the first few pages of it. It was ... pretty harsh, yes. But impressive, exactly because of that. And Haruhi was trying to take good care of Kyon; my assumption was that she was the only reason he survived whatever happened to the world at all.
