I don't think this is an original anime, going by the website it's an adaptation of a popular web novel. According to Wikipedia the story is: Minori, who has been bullied in all her life (on account of being sickly, poor, etc.), is befriended by Takashi and Kyouko, who want to see her real smile. However, before that could happen, Minori is hospitalized far away from the other two. After two months, Takashi and Kyouko receive a mysterious, anonymous message about a summer festival in the neighboring town.
Well there's two cute girls and a cute boy? And lighthouses and stars and a little girl who is sickly(!) and poor(!!) and has lost her parents(!!!) and was bullied(!!!!) and gets separated from her only friends(!!!!)... Seems like an unabashed feels train. |

IMHO, you are exgagerrating. Most of the cast sounded far from perfeсt but on level of avarage voice actiтg in anime. MCs voice bothered me a bit but he still was much better than main heroine of Nana-Maru San-Batsu (and some people actually liked her voice acting, while I think me thinking it was terrible).

Well I'd probably say that as a whole the voice acting in the first episode was pretty below average. Clearly the budget for this show wasn't going towards the voice acting. Some of it just sounded really off. As if the voice actors weren't really confident in what they were saying.
In terms of the content well they manged to establish the status quo pretty well. Both in what is happening to this girl and how miserable the other two are in how they haven't taken action. Though understandable in how they feel bad and want to do something, but are afraid of stepping in. Can be easy to get sucked into the idea of "well at least I feel bad about the situation and that's something."

wow aside the voice actors issues, honestly this anime make feel disgusting, that shit peoples in that class, they are really nasty, that is something which aways annoyed me in anime and specially since i found which it somehow is "true to they reality", school bully in japan is really nasty, while in many places this also is issue, the way it is on japan make things even more nasty, cuz one thing is when you have one, two or 3 peoples being the bulliers but when is allmost the full class this is when we have a serious issue in japan, social norm, it's really like that parents rise they childrens to be nasty kids???, i really feel troubled as really family and social norm in japan is disturbing, this make me somehow understand a little why of the too much suicide rate specially in schools, i really geel creeped watching this episode and wanting go to that school and teaching to that nasty kids and the teachers and the school director some little things about how to be a proper school. this anime really affected me on a really angry side, that is one of the reason the country is slowly dying and sometimes is really hard to feel bad for it, because they are really asking to get what they are getting with all that sort of "crap society" and crap mindset of bully or be bullied.

Thought the first episode was rather unpleasant, unpleasant in its story and unpleasant in its execution. I don't believe this will be something I want to watch even as a short.
Just one time I would like to see this type of story told where the adults get involved and work to deal with this issue rather than the kids left to handle bullying on their own. |

When it come to bullying adult are "useless" in most case. Though fault goes to bullying person itself (as bad as it sounds) as adults can rarely do anything even if they suspect something unless person in question step out and is willing talk about issue and point finger on his/her classmates It also has nothing to do with Japan society it"s same everywhere.
As for episode itself I can understand to main character duo passivity, though in my book it put them on same page as actual bullies. Let's see if they man up soon.

and honestly speaking for what i hear from peoples living on japan for many years and even at middle school to work(brazilian and even others places), really part of the bully have to do with they society, japan while for a "tourist standpoint of view is a wesome place, when comes to "live" the heave is not so perfect and they have a lot of issues as many others countries. and again while bully in school is a big deal, it's not like every place will be like that, as i already told at last in my country while bully happen it's not a big deal as others "major issues" like drugs, early pregnance and become criminal", while bully happen it's not on the same scale as it is on japan or others places can be, normally the bulliers are a minority and the delinquents which normally most of the peoples will avoid and our teachers here in most of the cases will try to do something whenever they can(cuz they afraid of lose they jobs cuz here any missteps easy can lead to be fired not only the teacher but also the school administrator), then normally they don't allow buly to happen in large schale in our schools as japan or usa or others places, they are very picking toward it(while not too much toward the others) and when you hear about 'bully cases" they where really rare and normally they bulliers are strong punished with can go to banishment from the school.

that scum class omg, this serie is really a sucess at make me hate that annoying peoples, what the heck is happenning with kids these days????, why bully someone become "so common" which almost the whole class must do that???, well at last now finally the guy and girl finally decide to break from that scum wall and actually act like "normal peoples" nor a bunch ok jerks and are trying to help the girl. this anime is really painfull the bully side, it's really annoying me a lot.
