That's Goblin Slayer for you, ready with a "practical" solution to just about anything. The funny part is that he is trying to follow High Elf Archer's rules and honestly doesn't see it as using loopholes. She said no fire or poison and technically he didn't use fire.

I've seen that trick in a few other stories, I like that it seems quite possible for the medieval setting. Just that most people would use skills or magic instead. Well, that and they're not that crazy, er, innovative.

So looks like time for a rematch. At least its not an ambush this time, and Goblin Slayer can't use that trick again (its hard to set up properly, too dangerous, and HE Archer wouldn't be happy).

Haven't been visiting this thread after caving in to read the light novels. It's a bit weird to see my speculation of GS getting an anime come through (fingers crossed for good animation during the fights) but then again, i think the LN and manga got popular enough in Japan to warrant it ?

I guess the next step for the series is a mobile gacha game?

So i read the 1st three chapters of Goblin Slayer: Brand New Day manga.
The manga is much more light hearted than the other two manga.
Chapter 1 deals with two newbie adventurers (those two adventurers who tried to get Priestess to leave Goblin Slayer and join their party) trying to a complete a giant rat infestation quest in the sewers.
Chapter 2 is about a young village boy seeking adventure and hopes to find goblins to defeat.
Chapter 3 tells a funny story of a wolf girl waitress trying to get Goblin Slayer to eat her Inn's food.

From what I remember, BND seems to cover vol 4, which is a breather vol of sort, before diving back into things with vol 5.

Mmm... Chapter 27 of main series shows once more GS is a master of his craft. It was an art form when he flows from one kill to another, even using his shield to deflect one killing blow into another.

And here i thought Brand New Day was the most lighthearted of the GS manga. Boy was i wrong. Even the cover page for Chapter 4 was misleading.

Anyway, looks like the giant hobgoblin is back for a rematch.

It is the most lighthearted, showing a day in the life of the characters in a particular setting. In this case, a day in the life of a Goblin Nest... also, its last day. I mean, compared to the main series it was lighter. The woman was only lightly beaten and violated, whereas in the main series we've seen worse.

That cover was definitely a lie though. They know they wrong for that.

No, I got it was just a memory, but I mean, did Goblin Slayer really train under a wise Goblin master in the ways of Goblin slaying, or did he just hallucinate that he did?

An example of a Rhea in the main series is that scout who had an interview with the guild receptionist to see if his party could get a promotion and who ended up getting in trouble because he was stealing loot from his party.
