Blue Drop Viewing-Black Screen

I am attempting to view the last episodes of Blue Drop, which is only available in mkv files.
No problem I thought. I'll just download them and watch them on Media Player Classic.
Wrong. All I get is a black screen and

AppName: mplayerc.exe AppVer: 6.4.9.1 ModName: roxiompegdemuxer.dll
ModVer: 2.0.243.0 Offset: 0000e472

Is my Roxio software interfering with my MPC????

Thanks,
Lyndon

It sounds like it may be. You mentioned that you're using MPC - do you have CCCP installed as well?

Ledgem,
You are on the right track. Now I have picture, but no sound. The only thing I didn't allow was CCCP wanted to disable VobSub, and I said no. Is that the cause of no sound?
Thanks again,
Lyndon

Arrgghh.
I have both sound and video on Blue Drop 10 through 12, but not on Episode 9. So weird.

You should have let it disable. In fact, reinstall and confirm the option.

Are those releases by Floser or something?

Yes, they are.

Isn't VobSub needed by AVIReComp? If not, I'll follow through, Martino. Right now I can't ignore sunny skies, and I need to take a bicycle ride in this 51 degree F. weather.

I'm not sure what AVIReComp is, however CCCP does come with VSFilter (note, VobSub = VSFilter). It's much much better if you let CCCP use the version that comes bundled with it.

In regard to the Blue Drop episode not playing with audio, I recall that one of them has some strange problem. The solution is to go under MPC's Options, Internal Filters (on the left), and in the Source Filters box check MP4/MOV. This was it if I remember correctly. After you are done watching this file however go back and uncheck the option.

Help Me Obi-Wan Kenobi, you are my only hope.

Man, Martino, you are the ACE! It worked! Why doesn't Floser fix that file?

I did my best to rep you, but was told I couldn't rep more than once. You'd get triple reps for me. Now if I can just get off the fence and buy a new Toshiba thin bezel LCD screen. And overclock this new e2180 build. :0)

Yes, you are great, Martino. I was having the same problem, though oddly it wasn't the last file that was messing up on me. That one worked correctly. It was episode 9 that I wasn't getting any sound on, but now it works.
