Even if what I'm watching can still be loads better, I don't remember DeSu2 being quite this entertaining early on in the story. |

The show is leaving me pretty cold so far. It's not bad by any means... I just don't care much about the characters or the story. I'm guessing I would find the game to be much better, given how much I enjoyed Personas 3 and 4.

Same here. The whole thing seems soulless, like they're just going from the motions. Characters just go from one event to the other. We need more exposition and character development, less battles. You can totally tell this is a (bad?) video game adaptation.

Yeah, same here. This series won't be on any "Best of 2013" lists as far as I'm concerned, but it's pretty nice and enjoyable as far as entertainment goes, I quite like the main characters, and luckily I have no knowledge of the original game to distract me. I do hope Daichi will get to do something eventually, but it seems they're building something up for him.
(As for being soulless and going through the motions, funny, that's how I feel about Red Data Girl - but not this show.) |

I like the episode though I don't find depth on the characters because they removed that part and only the main battle story are being presented but so far I'm loving it. The game is slow paced and the battle isn't that entertaining but at least the character interaction is fun. In the anime they sacrifice the character development for pure story. The only one who's character is being developed is Hibiki and his decision is effecting it all.
The episode itself has wtf moments specially when I thought Hinako died but its a good thing she is still alive and the most annoying Keita is dead which is good. Game wise I don't use him and his character interaction is also annoying for me. And the anguished one.... why does he introduced himself as Alcor? Hibiki is still stuck with Byakko. Give him another summon. Io even god Kukiri-hime as an upgrade. Annoying guy in purple suit has finally appeared. Darn even in the game I didn't choose his ending.

The bigger problem is Ronaldo being an ex-JPs member now... wait, WHAT?
This is like the complete opposite of what his character is. I don't see how anyone can claim this is a good or faithful adaptation of the Devil Survivor 2 game at this point. It's best to enjoy this as an original series... that just happens to borrow a title. It's not like the episode was devoid of qualities that can be enjoyed: Merak certainly looked more impressive and devastating than ever, for example. However, in terms of faithfulness as an adaptation, this anime is anything but that. |

Shmaster you might wanna watch the spoilers. I'll just say that it in fact did happen as it did in the anime. |
