Bandoll means making living things to be a doll... That means Yaya is also human, right? (I know that it's too late for realizing this but I just want to confirm it once again)
Frey should be Raishin's opponent, right?
and where's Yaya's sister who accompanied Raishin earlier (I think her name is Komurazaki?)

After saw the cliffhanger ending of chapter 23, I feel a really strong deja-vu. Part of it is involving a certain MC from a certain anime about "masters", "servants", and "holly grail war" where the MC (master) protected his female "servant" from the attack of another "servant".

Both actions are foolish in the context of the story.

Started to read the LNs and got hooked. I think this series has quite the potential. Given how the system of combat works in the LN the action is neverending: as Raishin wouldn't be able to take a break outside of time spent in the medical ward.

Spoiler for Frey arc: summery of 24+ and thoughts:

Plot wise, off the top of my head: Raishin barely survived the wound: it might have to do with the charm Char gave him earlier. The cut did not damage anything major and because it was such a clean cut, it was also easy to be sewed back together. Lohi would have been disqualified if Raishin was killed. The match ended in a draw as Raishin was sent to the medical ward.

Next night Lohi had to fight Frey but Raishin jumped in and worked with Lohi to disable Frey's doll which went berserk (and it can drain Frey's blood forcefully) by knocking Frey unconscious.

Frey was sent to the medical ward with her doll. Yaya's maker was called to do repairs on the doll, which she did and she secretly took a piece of the magic circuit - completing Raishin's mission from the military. Raishin learned that a mechanical heart was force into Frey and Lohi (at some point he already learned that the siblings seek to become wiseman for the knowledge in restoring the heart iirc).

Raishin decided to go rescue Frey's family (the dogs) - to help Frey and also he feel he owe it to Yomi (the old dog) as the dog entrusted his hopes onto Raishin. Charlotte tried to stop him but gave up after Raishin showed her the protective charm: as it reminded her of how Raishin put his life on the line for her in the past and now he is doing it again for Frey.

Raishin and Yaya sneaked out of the school by asking Yaya's younger sister to put a cloaking spell over them (the younger sister chose Raishin over her master). Meanwhile Kimberly also started to make her move and decide to bring Frey along: given that she will only watch how the event will unfold. Char decided not to go after being teased by Kimberly, claiming she trust the charm she gave to Raishin.

Raishin arrived at the orphanage but was quickly surrounded as security has been tightened after the events during the day. He and Yaya fought their way into the orphanage but all the dogs went missing. Just when they were surrounded Lohi came from a hole in the ceiling and the two joined forces.

A showdown between Lohi's guardian and his doll, Lucifer vs the two began. Apparently Lohi's guardian almost became the wiseman in a past tournament. Raishin and Lohi were no match for Lucifer.

Apparently Raishin already figured out how the D(ivine)-company's Jet magic circuit work: that two streams of hot air can be used to combat each other. Using this knowledge, Raishin planted a trump card on Yaya: dynamites around her wrist. By using the explosion as a shield, Yaya was able to stop Lucifer's attack. Using this opportunity Yaya rushed through Lucifer in the blink of an eye. Finishing off the automaton.

Lohi's guardian tried to kill off Raishin while Raishin was down due to his injuries, but was stopped by Kimberley and a group of cloaked and masked man who call themselves the Crusade (I think they called themselves the watchdogs of the academy/something else).

Raishin and Lohi were both sent to the medical ward without any troubles (Kimberly pulled some strings to let them off the hook). Frey officially joined the harem (she stopped an argument between Lohi and Raishin claiming they might be family in the future). The dogs were rescued and Frey chose some of them to be her automatons (I think she has 5 in total).

what do you mean by "guardian"?
is it the old guy who was instructing lohi/frey to do?

also: so lohi & frey are both friends with raishin now?

The one blonde that was with Raishin's master I don't think I remember her name tries to calm Yaya down... The chick that was trying to off him Frey is up next and her doggie goes super saiyan after taking some hits. The end... After thinking back on the previous chapter. Crazy as it sounds I think Raishin did it on purpose because he didn't want to kill Rabi like his master was ordering him to do...

Spoiler for some thoughts: Somewhat disappointed that Char did not get much spotlight in the Frey arc. She did have some pretty cute moments esp when she get teased by Kimberly and Sigmund. Seem like everyone has a banned doll - making them less special. Not too satisfied with the showdown against Lucifer: instead of Raishin showcasing his intelligence in setting up the trap and showing us new powers of Yaya, I was hoping Lohi+Raishin's teamwork can pull through. For example, Yaya can wield Lohi's automaton in sword mode against Lucifer and his puppeteer. Given Yaya's speed and strength I think it should be enough to overcome the odds. Maybe the author wants to save this trick for later. Spoiler for peek @ vol3: This arc is about Henriette: Char's sister who repeatedly tried to commit suicide. Frey is turning into another Yaya: trying to feed Raishin doped lunches (with stamina enhanced meds) and jumping to conclusions, such as Raishin having a beast rape fetish...

(Onto vol 5 atm) Spoiler for contain spoiler of vol 4: At first I thought she will be aggressive like Yaya, but she revert back to the shy and timid type. Sadly she doesn't get much attention. As the weakest of the group, she tries to be useful and become an "older sister" for Lohi. Of course, all the "main" female leads tend to misunderstand situations and can become extremely jealous. Vol 4 has a few Charlotte moments (always made better with Sigmund's comments): Char had an embarrassing dream about Raishin. Raishin hugged her once out of joy and gratitude, Raishin grabbed her chest while pulling her out of a pool of water... Raishin also revealed that he has a fiancee via arranged marriage: although he had the intention to call it off. I read somewhere that his fiancee resembles one of Magnus' automatons (Magnus is the guy that Raishin tried to challenge and threw ashes to).() Note that Magnus also has an automaton which resembles Raishin's sister, and he may also be Raishin's brother. Hmmm... an older brother whom wiped out a clan for power and a younger brother who seeks revenge on him... this sound like a certain popular manga :O Oh, Shoko kissed Raishin in the lips at the end of vol4 as both a reward and a punishment for disobeying her... (Now that she got his first(?) kiss I hope she can leave the country, leaving Inori (Yaya's older sister) behind to take care of Raishin...)
