I'm sure he is, with all the people exploding about how Sarada looks like Karin, thing that happened with chapter 700, Kishi is more than likely capitalizing on it. It's a great segway to a Sarada bonding moment with Sasuke, not to mention it'll boost sales like mad.

Feel sorry for Sarada, you'd think Sasuke would know better than being a deadbeat, but I suppose he'll have some excuse.

Man, actually this would be a perfect way to start a new LONG series. I'd totally be interested in reading about Sarada leaving Leaf to search for her dad. I guess Boruto can tag along as long as Sarada's still the main protagonist. This way we don't get a redux of Naruto with Boruto being the protagonist.

Well Sasusaku were always the tragic/angst pairing so yeah and the whole dale with Karin being sarada daughter was fuel by anti anyways and Kishimoto using that to fuel drama and sales, oh and to shut up sasukarin when it proven Sarada is Sakura daughter. But man Sasuke is a deadbeat dad. I want to see Himawari and Hinata with the rest of the females. Maybe he will create drama for Naruhina but that would be Naruhina going backwards. Since that being. Never had any drama except for the Last.

The start was not great, but good. The time will show if Kishimoto will be able to maintain manga serial interesting.

Smart idea by Kishimoto to start off with exploring Sarada's character. It was an interesting slice of life kinda chapter... until the very end.

Seriously, Kishimoto, why do this...

That whole shipping nonsense was seemingly resolved but now you reignite it with SasuSaku vs SasuKarin? This only brings back memories of headache-inducing online arguments about who Sarada's mother is.

And how is Sakura (possibly the most talented medical ninja in the ninja world) struggling with loan repayments on a mortgage? Or could she easily afford it and just fainted due to the whole waste of money?

Either way, I'll give Kishimoto 4 more chapters to resolve this annoying plotline. In the mean time, I'll stay the hell away from MAL forums and tumblr.

But going back to the whole dad issues and the interactions in the rest of the chapter, they were okay; I liked them.
