(Naegi slipping on banana peel)
Komaeda: Good! My sweet little apprentice! You are mastering the art of bullshit! Junko: He's not quite the level of Komaeda bullshit... Komaeda:That's right, if Naegi was level 10, I am like level 800........million. (courteosy of Nicob)

Quote:
1. Naegi's hope, we will never succumb to despair, we will accept it and overcome it. 2. Talent wise Izuru- having all the talents in the world. 3. Nagito's later hope/MUnakata, KILLING/ELIMINATING all despair, despair free world.

Naegi's Hope was based on mutual trust, that brought determination against adversity making others believe again.
Izuru wasn't hope but talent and talent on itself is useless when he is just a bystander, making him a silent accomplice of the events. A monster with human flesh. Kamakura Project shows it's a failure, sheer talent is no hope at all. Nagito's Hope was twisted as much as Munakata's. Both forgot that Hope meant to bet/rely/trust on others that were affected by despair and instead sought for their own goals and self satisfaction. They saw objects while Naegi saw people. That's why they failed and he triumphed. |

Keep in mind Munakata's obssession towards exterminating all sign of Despair in the world came from Chisa manipulating and pushing him to do it. Her ultimate goal was to turn him into the same as her.
To say she would have succeeded, had not been for Naegi... Munakata was pretty close of reaching the point of no return. In the end he became a better person, having come to terms with himself and treasuring the memories of his loved ones. |

I don't know, you tell me how "RAAAAAAAGH! MUST ELIMUNATE ALL DESPAIRRRRR!" and "I want to see the greatest hope shine brightly!" are even remotely the same. How is extreme rage even remotely similar to unusual optimism?
