Sorry for bumping the topic of something but I gotta ask something.
Last year there was a rumour of the 4th season starting at October 2010, but that didn't happen and they started broadcasting season 3 since the begining, I don't know if this is true, I'm guiding myselft by rumours. Now what I want to ask: 13 episodes = 13 weeks, that means that season three ends in Febreuary, that could mean the start or at least the announcement of the 4th season? I didn't really believe in that but I found this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z78EokYBfyM Seems to be really well done to be a fake, who knows, maybe it is. If anybody knows something that i don't and post here, It will be highly appreciate PS: Here is the rumour for which one I'm asking this Quote:

After this long, I'm fairly certain that the series isn't continuing. Even the new manga is painstakingly slow. |

REVIEW TIME
SEX !!! Did that help to make you more interested in reading further? If yes, then Zero no Tsukaima (ZNT) is for you. If not, then don’t even bother because this will be just another rant about yet another piece of crappy anime trilogy. And yes, I include all three seasons of this stupid franchise in the same review. Have fun… First of all you should be aware that this is a harem series, which automatically means not much plot or characters developments other than a funky premise. If you are satisfied with aimless softporn that makes vague tributes to other famous shows then you will definitely enjoy this more than I did. By tributes, I mean those almost unintended comparisons to Harry Potter because the setting is about a magic school, where aristocratic wizards rule over lower commoners, Shakugan no Shana because the lead girl reminds us of her, and even Lord of the Rings because of a fantasy war raging on in the background. So yeah, imagine Shana riding a flying broomstick and giving us lots of panty shots while for 36 episodes wastes hoards of Orcs next to Mount Doom, while a thousand horny NEETs near by take photos and screaming OUR PRECIOUSSS !!! Sure, it could work; I love just the description of it. … Too bad all we get is jack SHIT! STORY: 2 The story is (as it usual is in such shows) just an excuse to have character A next to character B for some unimportant reason before he starts tripping on boobs and getting his ass kicked hard by a loli. Yeah, sounds funny … if it doesn’t repeat every 10 minutes without any sort of progress and while there are a hundred other shows WITH THE EXACT SAME THING GOING ON. So yeah, the premise may sound original, or interesting, or captivating, but the presentation is just the same old fuss all over again. Here, let me give you a list of the subplots you can find in this trilogy: -A magician girl’s struggle for acceptance by her society, who considers her weak -A normal boy’s drama of being away from its home, against its will -A conflict between the rich and the poor -A mystery regarding a powerful magic element -A war between two powerful fractions for the ultimate control of the world Boy, this could mean the birth of the most awesome epic adventure of the past 30 years. Yet what do we get in practice? Nothing! The only thing that changes as the episodes go by is fan service increasing while context and plot go for a walk. Nothing going on after awhile and no end in sight even after the third season. CHARACTERS: 2 But who cares about the story if the characters are unique, special, developed or just highly humorous? And that is why the cast of this trilogy is again SHIT because they are carbon-copied harem stereotypes you can find anywhere, with absolutely nothing special or memorable about them after awhile. I mean ok, if they were just average I would be generous and give them the base score. But no, they are not. Any hints of development we had in season 1 is deleted in season 2 and the hints of progress we were given in the finale of the second plays no importance in the third. So no, they are not average because for 30 episodes we see them doing aimless things with zero importance before ending the whole thing without no catharsis or resolution in general. Why in blazes would I find Louise any better than any other stereotypical tsundere? She’s no Asuka Langley; that’s for sure. And why is Saito any better than all the rest of the harem or shounen leads out there when he allows to be humiliated all the time without even being a masochist? Or why is anyone else in this trilogy worth remembering when I can think of a hundred other similar characters with far more depth and development for other similar stories? Some say it was the voice actors, some say it was the jokes that made them feel funny. But I say that I have seen far greener pastures and I consider this cast unworthy of my attention. VALUE & ENJOYMENT: 2 Yet another high-seller trilogy for no reason at all. I guess the fandom just loves mediocrities and never gets bored eating the same soup every day for the past 50 years. This mentality would perform miracles in a communistic society. But being the capitalistic pig I am, I say this is a dreadful franchise and I would never recommend it to anyone, other than to waste his life when there are better shows out there. Now where is my tuna salad, zero coke, French fries with ketchup, and Cheeseburger with no onions? p.s.: Animation and sound are good if all you want is generic pop songs, blunt medieval backgrounds and simplistic character figures who do and say generic harem stuff. I sure don’t give a damn if the rest are crap. Score: 3.5/10 |

I feel terribly sorry that Greece is now officially broke and everything there seems very gloomy and everything. wwww
Yes, season 3 is, to be honest, the stop sign for the whole ZnT animation series. I personally believe that unwanted originality and crazy cutting of important sections on the novel caused season 3 to be so off course. ZnT anime has got to be one of the most deceiving animes to trick ppl into thinking that the novel is crap, only because the anime is way beyond crap. The plot is messed up while being blow through the events, skipping a lot on the way. There is a bright side to this though. At least it introduces itself to ppl who has never heard of ZnT.

^ Moral message of the day. Make crappy anime so people will turn to novels.
It's not as if the anime didn't sell like crazy and made its profit. Oh, and everything looks bad because my country is soon to be enslaved to Nazis again ... err I mean become a low payed workforce for Germany XD |

I can not defend the 3rd season since it was the worser, and yeah, I know that the novels were way better but this is the anime discussion. I really hated how they repeated over and over and over and over again the scene of Saito being punched and punished by Louise for stupid reasons. It got a little at episodes 8+ but still, was way far to be as season 1/2. The characters... I personally like the Saito's attitude but its a bit difficult to understand him since they never made something like let us listen what's in his head, so another more fail, as well with Louise, who fall in the stereothype of Tsun-Dere (don't get me wrong, I like those characters, but only if they get a proper personality), Siesta just became annoying and killed so many good moments. Now to the bad guys... Cliche everywhere... Really, it didn't surprised me in all, If I would not have got in the Novels for more infor and a better plot, I would not be defending this serie.
In fact, season 3 was awful due to the fan service or whatever that changed the original plot, but I'd give it a chance for a season 4, since they hitted their head already about which happens when you change the original story so dramatically, I think they will stick to the Novels more from now on.

that said, i will award a prize to whoever who made a ZnT season 4 possible: Best Originality Award. Not for how good one continued the story, but for how he managed to even continue the story.......

If it were up to me, I would start over in a OVA series once the manga goes far enough, sticking to the plot (flying through an eclipse to get home!? *gag**hack* It makes no sense and renders the later thing about the World Door useless ), sort of like what they did with Hellsing. Oh well, I guess we'll just wait and see, unless anyone actually knows someone from J.C. staff. |

Rumours are rumours, I also heard that is gonna be realeased on June 2011 (which i don't believe due that this is the Shana's year) and think about 2012 already is too far and distant to me, so I'll just guess that ZnT will be on hold for a long time.

I posted this in the novel thread but I figured it would be relevant here too.
There's to be a "big announcement" for Zero no Tsukaima in the October issue of Comic Alive. Most people on 2ch are speculating it will be the announcement of a new anime season to wrap up the story, which is supported by the fact the last volume of the novels is coming out soon.
