Oberon realizes that the Magatsu-Ikaruga is no longer being affected by the song of destruction.
The "Devil" can't hit the Ikaruga as its sword cannon starts blowing apart its countless limbs.
Every explosions sends vibrations throughout the giant.
Oberon grips his hands until they turn white. He realizes that the Ikaruga is strong, too strong. He decides on something, and calls out to the surroundings.
Gaps starts to appear throughout the shell of the "Devil"
Eru tells Addy to prepare for evasion maneouvers at the expected magical bombardment, but it never comes.
Instead, something from inside the "Devil" jumps out.
Magatsu-Ikaruga swings down its sword cannon. Theres a clash of steel and bone.
Its a Silhouette Knight, but only the upper part of it. From the waist down consists of tentacles that connects to limbs of the "Devil".
Numerous Silhouette Knights appear from the "Devil". They stretch out to assault the Magatsu-Ikaruga. It tries to evade, when a large number of silhouette arms fire bombards the thunder cloak, overwhelming and collapsing it.
Eru falls back a bit, and notes that the "Devil" is more of a flying fortress than a demon beast.
Countless magical blasts and SKs are trying to tgake down the Ikaruga, an astonishing number just to defeat a single SK.
Eru accelerates the Ikaruga, Rahu Fists and sword cannon casting explosive spells behind it to accelerate it even faster. They're breaking through.
Eru aims at the base of the tentacles and tears them apart, leaving behind an opening.
They charge in leading to an open cavern. The inside of the "Devil" is hollow.
Eru suspected this because it would have been impossible for a creature of this size to fly in the sky. Addy's shocked he did this on a guess.
Silhouette Knights block their way. They fight through to the center.
They appear in a wide open space surrounded by pillars.
The center pillar has an object in the middle of it, its a man-made object.
Eru suspects this is the device that allows them to control the "Devil".
They look closer and realise its not just a device, there is something inside.
In the center of the device is a small clear crystal. There's something floating in it. No, not something, "someone".
Oberon tells them that he didn't expect Eru would have been able to make it here, and congratulates Eru.
Oberon is riding on top of an SK above them.
The SK lowers its altitude until its standing between the Ikaruga and the device.
Oberon asks Eru if he's going to destroy it.
Eru tells him that they cannot go to Fremmevira with a weapon that controls demon beasts.
Eru says theres someone inside the device. Oberon tells him that they're his parents.
Eru says that the expeditionary army happened hundreds of years ago. Parents. Song. Eru pieces everything together and looks at what is inside the crystal. Beings that resembles humans but are not the same race.
Elves.
Eru's shocked that there were elves among the expeditionary force.
Oberon realises that Eru knows about them, and wonders if after hundreds of years, the western elves had finally made themselves known to the world.
Eru tells Oberon that he only knows due to his status as head of a knight order.
Oberon explains that the expedition force were fools that believed they could conquor the forest, only to be destroyed by monsters. They were about to be wiped out, but his parents guided everyone and despite living in the forest filled with monsters and giants, they survived.
Eru realises that the reason the people of the forest can maintain their technology is because of Oberon and his parents. But there is no technology in the west that allows people to control demon beasts. But it doesn't mean it never existed, and the secret could be passed down to others.
Oberon tells Eru that even though elves have an extremely long life span, death will come one day.
Eru asks him if the reason he cannot let go of the "Devil", is because he wishes to return his parents to their homeland.
Eru tells him even if he has a reason for all this, it doesn't change the fact that the "Devil" is a weapon that controls devastating monsters.
Countless SKs appear surrounding the Magatsu-Ikaruga. They attack.
The thunder cloak fires them as they get close, and the sword cannon roars, targeting the center of the "Devil".
Oberon orders his SK in the path of the blast. He will protect his parents.
However, his SK suddenly starts rising in the air. Spears of flame hits the center of the "Devil", and the pillar breaks apart.
Oberon begs the SK to stop and go back. He cries out to his father and mother and demands the SK to listen to his orders. But the SK doesn't stop, it continues to rise to one of the exits leaving the "Devil".
Oberon buries his head and scratches his hair, screaming at why it happened, just a little more, just a little more...
The SK flies out of the "Devil" and flies away without hesitation.
At that time, inside the "Devil":
The device is still active despite being hit by the sword cannon. The song of destruction is raising its output, screaming even louder.
Despite casting full boost at full power, some of the song is still getting through and giving Addy a headache.
Eru quietly says that the "Devil" had saved many lives in the past, but its different now, and to please sleep forever.
Eru orders Magatsu-Ikaruga to fire again, and as it pierces the device, they hear a mysterious voice that is not the song of destruction.
Meanwhile among the fleet, everyone's headaches are gone.
The acid beasts that once acted with intelligence are gone. They're now moving like animals.
Everyone's wondering whats going on, but its an opportunity and they've got to take it.
Flying Knights and airships kill the remaining beasts.
The "Devil" shakes, an explosion occurs in its chest, and pieces of shell and bone rain down the sky.
Seeing this as a sign, all flying SKs and ships target the hole with everything they've got.
Explosions occur along the shell of the "Devil", parts of the shell are blasted away and body fluids are gushing out. The "Devil", damaged both inside and outside, is starting to collapse.
Bits of shell and limbs start falling off. Its reinforcement field allowing such a massive thing to exist is failing.
Another explosion occurs inside the "Devil". The Magatsu-Ikaruga races out of it.
The Demon God standing on top of a rainbow-colored ring overlooks the Demon King and aims its sword cannon.
"Its time to end this."
A spear of flame flies through the air, impacts the "Devil" and it completely falls apart due to its own weight.
The battle is over.
Spoiler for WN 125:
Magatsu-Ikaruga is carrying the crystal that was inside the "Devil". Oberon's parents are safely inside. Eru says it should be safe because they cannot use the Necrolith Song without the required equipment.
The villagers and the survivors of the city band together. Eru says its likely that Fremmevira will likely colonize the area in the future. Eru has no interest in managing territory, someone else will handle it. Meanwhile, the giants will protect the villagers. Humans and Giants will develop a friendship, leading to a better future.
Eru tells Addy to lets go home.
The allied army are looking for survivors.
They find a badly injured Rubel King and the survivors of the Rubel Clan. Most of the clan had been decimated.
Both sides are tired of fighting. They look upon the remains of the "Devil". This site will be remembered as reminder of the dangers of believing they can control the acid beasts.
The Kaelleus Clan will be living where was once the territory of the Rubel Clan.
Pearl wishes to go to see Fremmevira. Eru accepts.
Eru notices various clans gathering, and asks whats going on.
They wish to go with the Rainbow Champion.
"...Rainbow Champion?"
They say that he's a brave human who can climb a rainbow and soar in the sky.
Eru tells them to just call them whatever they want.
Eru says that they have limited space inside their ships, they can only take a few of them so please choose representatives.
After, the fleet of airships spreads its sails and soars through the sky, aiming for the Kingdom of Fremmevira.
The Silver Phoenix Knights have successfully accomplished their duty of rescuing their Knight Leader without fail.
Spoiler for WN 126:
In Fremmevira, the citizens sees a fleet of airships in the sky. They see the emblem of the Silver Phoenix Knights.
Something came out of the huge ship in the center of the fleet.
It produces a rainbow-colored ring, and glides through the air.
It aims at a corner of the city, the residents are shocked by its strange appearance.
Celestina Echevarria steps out onto the street as an SK gently lands in front of her.
It powers down and the cockpit opens up.
Eru steps out of the cockpit and happily waves to Celestina, telling her that he's home.
Celestina welcomes Eru back home. She tells Eru that she was so worried when she was told that he was missing in the Sea of Trees. Eru apologies for taking so long to return home, but Celestina understands that he was doing the duty of a knight, and had protected everyone.
Eru tells his mother that he would like to explain everything to everyone, but he has to report to the king. Celestina understands he must do his duty as the head of a Knight Order.
Eru heads to the castle and reports on his return. Everyone is shocked that he had returned safely.
Eru reports to Riotamus about the events in the forest, and introduces him to the giants.
Everyone is shocked at the giants, and the intelligent beings living in the Bocus Sea of Trees.
Riothamus asks Eru to explain about the giants. Eru says that its a very long story. Riothamus tells him to make it short. Eru says that he met the giants, stuff happened, and now they're friends. Riothamus retorts that that way too short.
Eru tells Riothamus that there is something else he needs to know, and tells him about the survivors of the Forest Expeditionary Force, shocking him even further.
Ambrosius has come to the castle. Eru tells in detail about the events of the forest.
What they're most concerned about are the survivors of the forest expeditionary force. They were persumed dead. They cannot ignore them as they are considered citizens of Fremmeriva.
Eru tells them of Oberon and his parents. Riothamus tells Eru that there is no knowledge that there were elves among the expeditionary force, but it had been such a long time that the records of that time had long faded away.
Eru tells them that he plans on returning Oberon's parents to the elf village, and he will have a talk to the elder about the "Devil". He will inform them of the answer then.
Ambrosius asks Eru about the giants and why they've come to the kingdom.
Eru says that they are interested in humans, and wishes to see the kingdom we live in. Ambrosius asks if the giants are seeing them as a threat, and Eru says that after seeing the battle, they're concerned at the amount of power we possess.
Meanwhile outside on the castle grounds, the castle guards are lined up on the training grounds in case the giants attack. Addy is standing by on the Magatsu-Ikaruga in case she needs to stop a fight between the two.
Riothamus tells Eru that they cannot tell the citizens about the giants yet, and to look after them for now. They have to figure out what to do about the giants.
Next, he tells Eru that there is something very important that they need to talk about, the future of the Silver Phoenix Knights.
Eru understands the seriousness of the situation and straightens his posture.

Next, he tells Eru that there is something very important that they need to talk about, the future of the Silver Phoenix Knights.
Eru understands the seriousness of the situation and straightens his posture.
So just to confirm,
Spoiler for Confirmation:
This means Oberon is a full-blooded elf? I thought he was human?
And, this Devil is a giant mecha/acid beast control device made by his parents?
unless there is a downside to the Demon Beast controlling device. Eru's causal dismissal of it make me want to punch him. Eru is basically letting his obsession with mechs override his responsibilities.
Riothamus tells Eru that when he received the report that he went missing in the Sea of Trees, he honestly thought he was dead. Returning safely surpassed his expectation.
Riothamus tells Eru that his father created the Silver Phoenix Knights to protect him and make use of his talent. They've exceeded far beyond their expectations, and the Silver Phoenix Knights had grown ever larger. The fame of the order had become unfathomable, and its time to change the structure of the order, to expand the number of knights.
Each company of the Silver Phoenix Knights will seperate and be independant as a new Knight Order.
Eru then realized this isn't just about increasing the number of personel, and asks if the order will be disbanded. Riothamus tells him no, the name of the Silver Phoenix Knights is now known throughout the world and its pointless to discard its name, instead the structure of the order will change.
Each of the new independent Orders will be regarded as a suboridinate of the Silver Phoenix Knights. Each Company that currently only consists of a few SKs will become the size of an Order and greatly increase in size.
The Silver Phoenix Knights will become a group with Eru as the Grand Knight Leader. It will become a heirarchial structure consisting of multiple Knight Orders.
The King tells Eru that in the time that he was missing, the kingdom had changed a lot. SKs had been strengthened, airships and flying SKs, time gone by without pause. And now with the giants and the survivors of the expeditionary army, the role of the Silver Phoenix Knights will become ever larger. He tells Eru that the baby chicks had nested under the wings of the Silver Phoenix, but they've grown up and its now time to let them go.
Eru can't say anything. He knows theres no escape, and decides to change the topic.
Riothamus tells Eru that he is planning on transfer personel from the NTR Labs to the Silver Phoenix Knights to cover the need of new blacksmiths. In fact, there had already been many requests to transfer. They've already been lending staff from the Silver Phoenix Knights to help design and construct airships which had influenced many staff at NTR to transfer.
After the meeting, Addy asks Eru what the he talked to the King about. Eru tells her that the Silver Phoenix Knights. Addy is speechless, and the two hurry back to Olvecius Fort.
At the fort, everyone is busy unloading cargo and maintenance on all the SKs. Meanwhile Eru has returned to give his report on the king's orders.
Dee doesn't like the orders and wishes he can reject it, but he can't run away now.
Edgar asks who will remain in the Silver Phoenix Knights.
Eru tells him that the only ones remaining will be himself and Boss.
Addy shouts that she will definitely remain as well.
Its noted that Addy's officially just an assistant aide to Eru, and doesn't have an actual position within the order.
Boss asks Eru what they're going to do now (as the head order)
Eru tells that that the name of the Silver Phoenix Knights won't disappear, the only real change will be the organizational structure. They'll continue doing what they've been doing.
Eru says that the Ikaruga had been defeated, and plans on making a new one. The Magatsu-Ikaruga is a rushed job and is a test-bed for new technologies. He plans on building the real thing next.
Everyone is shocked at Eru's works. Magatsu-Ikaruga is already a monster, and Eru plans on making the next one even stronger.
Dee complains that all this is just so troublesome, when members of the Second Company, hearing all this, suddenly rush around him and excited shout;
"This means that Captain Dee will become Leader Dee!" "Leader!" "Leader!"
Dee begs for them to stop.
Edgar doesn't think he's up for the task of leading a Knight Order, but pledges that he will do his best.
Eru tells Boss that personel from NTR Labs will be arriving soon. They will continue research and development at Fort Olevcius.
Meanwhile, they should bring the giants here.
The ferry the giants using Tzendrinbles and SK carts.
The giants are shocked at the Tzendrinbles. They will wear cloaks along the journey to avoid being seen by the citizens.
They reach the fort, and Pearl wonders if this is where Eru lives. Eru tells them they can't tell the people about their existence just yet, and asks them to live here for a while. They do not mind because they can see some very interesting things.
Eru promises with a smile that once everyone's "outfit" is complete, they will be able to move freely to a certain extent.
One day, new visitors arrive at Fort Olevcius.
It is new personel from NTR Labs, they're here to officially join the Silver Phoenix Knights.
There are many dwarves in the group. One of them, a Dwarf Woman steps forward as representative of the group.
She introduces herself as Decila Johannsson, grand-daughter of Gaizka and formerly of NTR Lab Studio 1.
Eru tells them that they had arrived at the perfect time. Theres something he needs them to do.
Decila laughs and wonders if this is like an entry test. It would be a good opportunity to show off her skills.
Eru tells them to craft sets of outer SK armor.
Decila asks if theres anything special he needs them to do.
Eru tells her no, its just plain ordinary armor.
Everyone has question marks over their heads. These are all people who possess the highest levels of SK crafting skill, yet they're being asked to make some plain ordinary armor.
Suddenly a giant appears asking Eru if they can go out and hunt.
Eru tells them to please wait a bit, they're preparing their clothes.
The new blacksmiths are stunned at the living, talking being thats as large as an SK.
The giant introduces himself as Bokusu and that he's here to visit their country.
Eru tells them that its all still being kept a secret from the citizens, so in order to go outside they're going to disguise themselves as SKs
Bokusu thanks the members of Eru's clan for their efforts.
Decila begins to understand the fearsome reputation of the Silver Phoenix Knights.

@Village Idiot: thanks for the info, can you describe Izumo ship and the fleet a bit more?, seeing anime its different than I imagine it (I know its not Izumo).
LN really change details like Kushperka arc (the Duke die).
BTW: anime really did fail when Ambrosius acted as king, not sure if comes in the LN.

Izumo and 10x other airships.
A mix of SK carriers and destroyers.
They had Wizard-Style SKs installed on them to both provide mana for the ship as well as act as turrets.
Quote:
Conversely, wouldn't that mean she couldn't use the Ikaruga to devastating effect because of the low output?
Once her Halo Cloak was destroyed, just safely descending used up almost all of mana.

I read.something about Izumo being a really huge ship, even using Zaloudek standar, kind of Nimitz class in other world?, also full designed as battle use and long term tour cruise, using ramps due mana ether scarcity in the air close by the ship, see lasts eps in anime I think that big thing in the dragon ship and pick up after, maybe the author set up as Izumo heart?

So w/ Oberon comes another arch-enemy of Eru, another out-of-bounds thinker who could have crushed all before him. Dunno why he needed Eru before starting his plan. Or the airships, if that Demon Beast is as large as described.
Eru's argument for destroying the Demon Beast was probably correct, and also in line with the beliefs of Fremmvira (as the nation that serves as a wall between humans and demon beasts), but I'm pretty sure it's BS on a personal level as Eru would probably fear people using Demon Beasts instead of SKs.
One thing I've been confused about for a long time: How is the creation of Ether Reactors a national level secret? It's one thing if Fremmvira was the only country with SKs, but...they're not. And it doesn't seem reasonable that the country would just sell SKs or ether reactors to other nations. So....huh?
