The invention of the electric light & the clock added roughly 4-5 hours to the "day" for most of the Modern world.

The invention of A/C made the summer months functionally workable in a lot of environments.

It's less they had more "free time" than their time was utterly dependent upon the seasons. Once winter sets in, you don't get a lot done. Without modern infrastructure (which takes modern societies to maintain), you don't have a lot "to do". So, more "free time", but nothing truly functional to do with it.

Yup, ppls should try reading a book with candles or something, lol
Cause that's how it looks like the "lower class" in this fantasy world is... they can't even afford books and has to work non-stop just for food, and is required to train as a soldier.

Feels like their time line is like this

20:00 ~ 05:00 sleep
05:00 ~ 05:30 eat
05:30 ~ 08:00 work
08:00 ~ 12:00 train
12:00 ~ 12:30 eat
12:30 ~ 16:00 train
16:00 ~ 18:00 work
18:00 ~ 18:30 eat
18:30 ~ 20:00 free time? LOL (by this time, sun setted, no more light)

lol, and their "break time during train" is just "work"

What I linked earlier points to 8 or 9 hours a day, as little as 120 to 180 days a year. Lots of various holidays and festivals.

Episode 3 was awesome XD

10/10!

I lol'ed so hard at how that red haired old guy was like "Fire extinguisher... what a frightening weapon" XD

I gasped when I saw Myuseru getting stabbed by a knife. WHY THE CUTE MAID HAS TO GET HURT?! (Well... at least she is alive TwT... thank god)

This episode showed me Myuseru is definitely the best girl in this series

It's not good, it's great. And teaches you something too. I've had hour long talks about racism after watching this show with friends.

Well in my view it's an excellent anime, which does teach about discrimination, racism, language and culture

Because the author and staff behind this show are literally amazing and animation design preferences were the "sacrifice" in some people's eyes to attain this level of quality. I started episode 1 and immediately went to episode 2 and I tell you, if it wasn't for school work and some other stuff, I'd be impatient waiting for the next episode. Also, despite what anyone says, MC is major awesomeness.
This is going to be a sleeper hit, guaranteed.

I love how sweet of a girl Myuseru is (What is her english spelling?! Miusel?). I loved the scene where she wanted Shinichiro to take her when he goes back to Japan XD

Oh well there goes our lovely half-elf meido...

Fortunately she's still alive in the preview.

Would have stopped watching if she died >:T (How the hell would the heroine of the series die so fast in the first place? =w= )

Miusel is like one of the main reasons I watch this anime ;w; She is such a sweet character x)

That tsundere princess is crap with her bitchness anyway =A=

Hope her personality and discrimination kind of changes starting next episode now that Miusel saved her life

Finished watching episode 3.. Oh god I thought Miusel is going to die but when I saw the preview I feel relieved!!
I loved this episode and the sweet moment between Shinichi and Miusel
Well, I have nothing against loli but seriously the loli queen is starting to piss me off since she bullied Miusel...but oh well..
