I mean Moka's surname might be very well some kind of "fake" family name that she assumed, so that her real vampire nature wouldn't be so easily revealed, and so that Moka's future "actions" wouldn't be tied to the Shuzen family. It could be something that Akasha did, before she disappeared, to protect Moka and the Rosario has sealed Moka's memories regarding that event, which is why she thinks that Akashiya is her real surname. I definitely agree with you cyberdemon that there is something with regard to Moka's power's - either she posses some kind of special ability or comes from a unique breed of vampires - whatever it is ,it makes her be considered "unique" among her siblings. Chances are that this "ability" has been passed to Tsukune as well, since his power's and vampire blood come from Moka, so it might have been passed to him along with her blood. Well, despite all of the revelations that the recent chapter's are bringing, there are still many mysteries left regarding Moka's family and vampires in general that's for sure, so for us to get some answer's we probably have no choice but to wait for the next chapter, which might give us more clues on this topic. |

There is a difference even if they use the same Hiragana. The Ya at the end of Akasha is smaller while it is bigger for Akashiya BUT i seriously doubt her mother's first name is Bloodriver. Also everyone seems to use Katakana when saying Akasha's name meaning that it is a foreign name to Japan in which case it would be first name and then family name. Whereas Akashiya is written in hiragana and kanji.

Maybe you haven't noticed but it seem that one of the way the Japanese play with their letter, the small letter is still count as one letter, just different way of reading when combine and doing big or small. For example, in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. The goddess of dawn, Ashunera (アスタテューヌ) name is split into Ashera (アスタルテ) and Yune (ユンヌ) by altering a few sounds. You don't necessarily have to be exact. Another example is the japanese pokemon song Lucky Lucky sung by James.

A little pet theory of mine before all this development came around was that Akashiya is just reversing a few letters of ashikaya (or a similar word that means either monster/demon/ that kind of idea), you get akashiya
the funny thing about "answer" chapters- they always leave you with more questions

been wondering this. If they were just going inside Moka's memories, then why can they interact with them. These are supposed to be set events that happened even if Moka doesn't remember them. They should just be more like spectators, never seen. What if they were actually dragged into the past. Maybe this way we can see why Tsukune is the only on that can remove the rosario. Like maybe he came across Akasha. Maybe he ends up talking to her and makes her realize something big was going to happen which is why she changed Moka's rosario at the last minute without anyone knowing.
