Technically speaking, Mor is no longer 'slave' status since she's freed. Regarding the point on abiding by traditions or not, Magi's world view and the number of factions making it up is quite huge and their behaviour and systems are more complex than what's currently apparent so we should just wait and see. Anyhow, this debate seems to have started from a shipping discussion Strictly speaking, there are no indicators of a possible romance between Alibaba and Mor so I think it's way too premature to discuss the 'difficulties' that may arise to obstruct their 'love'.

Let me just say Alibaba's ideal is not a caste system, and the foundation of this world and Magi are lot more... fantastic than you may think. It's far in the realm of fantasy than conventional medeval setting. Think... Tweleve Kingdoms level. (In fact, Magi "borrows" undeniably large influence from that popular novel series. I'm just itching for an interviewer to bring it up to Ohtaka somtime.)

I think you missed the point of 12 kingdoms... 12 Kingdoms is a world where "divine decision" surpasses all silly mortal social conceptions.
Regardless of whether the chosen king is a begger, a pirate from Japan, or a highschool girl, if the "will of the heaven" decides he/she is a king, so it will be. And in the next phase of the story, even if you are a princess, or a farmer's daughter, once the King decides so, the two will be treated the same. Magi is equally fantastical, down to the foundation of how the world was formed. The entire point of Magi (and djinns) choosing candidates for the "king of the world" instead of human society and its monarchy is, that in front of the divine and godly, the mortal human society is nothing but a fleeting, mundane concept. If you say you read spoilers, you might wanna check out Sindbad's story. Actually, it's anime related, since Sindbad's gaiden will exclusively be part of the DVD/BD releases of Magi anime. /shamelessplugforDVDbuybuybuy

Ugo kinda snapped..
That Judal just pushed him over the edge. Just as the got rid of him, came the Princess of Kou. The whole thing started again, but was over rather quick. After that everyone was beating themselves up on some level.. Kou empire really did a number on Balbadd's economy without them even realizing it at first. The prince totally lost it. Selling his own people to slavery, that's just insane.

I hope this arc will serve as significant character development for Alibaba now that he's been put back on focus because honestly he's getting on my nerves. To be fair he's not exactly in the easiest of situations but it's annoying to constantly see events lead him rather than the other way round.
Gotta admit though, that scene of Morgiana catching Alibaba in his room was hilarious. I really do hope there's some romance between them.

Jeez, I really wish Alibaba will grow a spine soon. Hopefully the revelation of the greedy king will serve as a catalyst. His role as the leader is overshadowed by Sinbad's charisma and confidence.
As for Morgiana and Alibaba's butt scene, they say that's how love sprouts.

Can't get enough of this anime, it truly keeps me entertained from start till end each episode.
Episode 11 was pretty awesome in terms of showing off the things that threaten everybody including the Magi as well as Aladdin's dangerous dedication to Ugo. Loved the first half with the confrontation as well as everyone reactions to what was happening. Alibaba has done well not to snap, especially since he pretty much rendered himself useless the entire episode and that kept eating away at him. I'm sure he's growing a sense of jealously and hatred towards Sinbad. At least he he one scene where it wasn't nothing but negetivity, when he was in his room checking his wounds
