Nice number of episodes! Let's hope it can do better than Rave in terms of plot and character development.

He meant FMA: Brotherhood, not Fairy Tail.

It is amazing how Rie Kugimiya can come up with ANOTHER different voice (Happy) from all the different voices she has done. Yes, she can do MUCH more different voices than her loli tsurundere roles, ejem: Murumo in Mirmo, Alphonse in Fullmetal Alchemist, Karin Kuroazaki and Nemu in Bleach, Shannon in Umineko etc..

Yet Aya Hirano still with the same voice, she sounds very similar to Haruhi.

And when Lucy express emotion (anger, excitement) her voice is not just pleasant to my ears.

Why can't she just give a different (and non-nasal) voice to her characters?

Yeah Aya Hirano doesn't have much of a range in her voice she uses the same voice just a bit lighter or heavier at times but it's essentially the same sounding voice.

Well, I agree with you about Aya Hirano, her voice doesn't change a lot, I saw animes like Suzumiya Haruhi (Haruhi), Fairy Tail (Lucy), Death Note (Misa) or Saint Seiya The Lost Canvas (Sasha), she have the same voice . I can't bear her (nasal) voice. But some people like it, she's a "fashion" seiyuu?

Not really. She's using her Kagura voice from Gintama.

& i've heard quite a few Hirano Aya roles where she doesn't sound the same.

I liked the show, having never read the manga, I suppose I'll enjoy it. Aquarius was hilarious, after reading the board I now have a better idea of why Plue was in the opening. I think it's very fitting of Aya to play Lucy, she dresses similar to haruhi, at least color wise, her outfit looks similar to Haruhi's cheerleading outfit. and looks a bit like Misa.

Hirano Aya has 3 voices (from what I seen anyway). Haruhi, Konata and the most annoying of the three...'moe' voice, which she used in White Album. I find her Haruhi and Konata voice okay. I don't know...her voice stands out too much compared to other seiyuus, since she never been to seiyuu school, she doesn't have that proper professional seiyuu voice, although it works from time to time. I rather view Hirano as an idol then someone with amazing talents, she's pretty enough to be an idol anyway.

KugiRie is a very capable seiyuu. If you watch anime in japanese, you bound to have heard her somewhere. KugiRie can use any voice from her spectrum of moe-young-boy to shana-tan-super-high-pitch. She did voice 3 characters in the same episode with Zettai Karen Children, since I'm so used to her voice, I don't know whether they sound different to normal viewers.

There are seiyuus who sound the same every time, but their acting convinces you it's a different character. Like Mai Nakahara or male example, Hikaru Midorikawa.

I just watched this, I just hope I can get used to Lucy's voice eventually. I haven't watched a lot of Hirano Aya's roles, but the voice she use for Lucy sounds too much like NANA's Reira to me. I agree with Mauru's opinion about the emotions.

I'm happy for any role that lets people know Kugimiya Rie has a good range Too many fans think she can only do tsundere roles, an example is my brother, who's surprised when I told him Al in FMA is voiced by her.

Looking forward to hearing Erza and Gray!

Starting to get used to art style, and I think I liked the 2nd episode better than the first.

The music, bright colors, and humor are the highlights for me so far. I liked the manga to an extent, but I think that despite the superior artwork I may enjoy this a bit more.

Nice watch during dinner at least, that's for sure ^_^

Spoiler for Episode 02:

The score is so good for this show. Many more pieces that weren't in the first episode, and they fit the show nicely. All of them are classic Takanashi Yasuharu pieces.

I love the background music -> though from the first episode that bg (when he reveals he's from fairy tail and starts pummeling people) kind of reminds me of the BG theme of The Departed...though i like this bgm a lot more, i listened to it over and over haha

I have to say really loving this anime after just two episodes.

Heard good things about the manga but held out waiting for the anime to be made....and it is!

Got an Epic type of feel.

I hope it can go as long as the big 3 (OP, Bleach, Naruto) but that depends if the manga is still ongoing.

How often do the manga chapters get released? Weekly, like the others?
