Now that I think more about it, something just isn't adding up. The guys Rick shot at the bar didn't reanimate. The writers wouldn't just change the rules (I think) I think there has to be a connection between the Guards, Shane, and Randall. Perhaps it will be explained in future episodes.

Plus in a world where no new parts are being manufactured, keeping your blades rust free, your firearms free of carbon, dirt, etc. is 10x more important than before the outbreak because, as Boromir would say, One does not simply buy new parts.

Nothing worse than having a hoard come at you and your weapon misfires because of grit in the action.

Actually they could canabalize other firearms for parts, or in the case of the two guards, get spares. The only two guns that would be hard too find parts for (at least from the collection I've seen) would be Rick's revolver and the blondes small 9mm. Everything else is pretty generic, like the Glocks and Berettas. That and Glocks have a reputation for holding up pretty well even in the harshest eviroment.

Oh man, I knew Shane was going to die but dddddDAMN! Stab to the heart! I feel for Rick, although I do believe in a lot of Shane's decisions, like killing the prisoner, but he went about presenting the case wrong. Coming off as a dick will never help you win cases.

Anyway, It's interesting to see that the dead no matter what comes back as an undead. It can explain why the world was overrun so quickly, people die like every minute around the world.

Can't wait for the season finale and at the same time I'm scared of it :hehe: I don't want this season to end!!!

I've felt kind of bad for Shane throughout all this. He works hard to protect his friends family, forms a bond with them while acting as leader to the original group. Then Rick comes in and takes all that away from him. He was right to feel frustrated to some extent, but he let his bitterness towards Rick just slowly take over. It was only a matter of time before he went off the deep end.

But dang gotta feel bad for Rick as well, taking out your friend like that. I think Rick knew as well it was only a matter of time with Shane. He kept tying so hard to get Shane to turn a new leaf, but to no avail.

I'm talking long game. How easy will parts be to find in 10, 20 years? Especially if most of the parts are in cities. You know, where the walkers roam.

This was the first episode of WD I've ever watched...My GF loves this show with a passion and she was in critical shock at her fav character Shane dying...I was like, High School of the Dead is waaay better than this show and she was like no effin' way...I don't know HOTD seems more entertaining than this show, but that's one man's opinion...

She even told me that the show doesn't follow the comicbook that much...Are people cool with that? Anyways the TV trope gene inside of me told my baldy was done for...
