Anything directed by Satoshi Kon is totally, totally, totally worth watching... though probably not where children are involved. Heh.

Millennium Actress is pretty safe though.

Hayate no Gotoku should be fine I think.
Very light hearted humour.

And, hmm, Kimi ni todoke.
That is seriously the cutest, most heartwarming anime I've seen in a long, long time. (Romance)

I will recommend Nadja, it's pretty awesome and has content that was very much devoided from nudity and violent attire, even though the drama might be prevalent at times.

IF you don't mind sport anime, you could try Major series.

Hi Guys! I checked all of your suggestions and I find them very interesting and I would probably download them anytime soon.

I just wanted to ask if any of you had watched the Princess and the Pilot. It is rated PG-13 and I'm very curious why. I find the story-line fascinating, though I haven't watched the movie yet. Does anyone have reviews of the movie? I wanted to know your opinions before I watch it.

Thanks a lot!!

oh, I forgot...there's also both seasons of Working!!

Some romantic subplots ensue: (there's a potential romance brewing between one of the chiefs and a waitress, not to mention some with the MC). There's some little stuff that might be okay for you and Mom(the running joke that the MC likes little, cute things...the female MC likes to uh.....hit things) but it's pretty inoffensive overall and it is pretty funny.

Grave of the Fireflies - Keep a ton of tissue paper with you. And keep the doctor at hand - intense heartache may cause cardiac arrest. Enjoy

Kidding aside, if you haven't seen it then you probably should see it.

Hotarubi no Mori e

It's pretty short (like ~45 minutes), but it's pretty powerful.
