According to it, the Blue Drop anime will take place years before the ~Tenshi no Bokura~ story and will take place at a girls' school. They do mention solving some mystery associated with the ~Tenshi no Bokura~ story, but maybe that could just mean giving lots of info about the aliens and stuff?

So the difference between Light Novel and Novel is that the Light Novel has manga style illustrations?

And oh how I love Kenji Tsuruta's artwork *__*

Rion, more or less. A "light novel" is simply an illustrated novel, as near as I can tell

Light novel is more like an illustrated short story. Usually very quick and short on plot.

ADD-afflicted teenager reading.

From Anime News Network

Hero Tales (from Fullmetal Alchemist author; Hiromu Arakawa)

Quote:
The July issue of Shōnen Gangan Powered (on sale June 22) has confirmed that Jūshin Enbu: Hero Tales, the latest manga from Fullmetal Alchemist's Hiromu Arakawa, will be animated for television. The previous issue had advertised an "important announcement." The Chinese-mythology-inspired story revolves around a boy named Taitō, the prophesied seventh star of the Hokuto (the Big Dipper), who must journey with his sister and friend to recover a legendary sword. Shōnen Gangan Powered is a bimonthly spinoff of Monthly Shōnen Gangan magazine, where Fullmetal Alchemist runs.

^I hate it when they don't say which animation studio is doing it. Might as well tell the mass who's doing the animation and who's directing it.

Well, it can't be helped. Anime News Network just brought up this article. Muchless that they only have the profile for the manga version.

The anime version was only rumored at the time as a "big announcement regarding this manga title". In +95% of all cases, this means an upcoming anime version. Actually, I personally like to be uptight about this issue until a real confirmation is dropped, even though this is becoming more and more a fact of the industry.

BTW, glad to see you checking out this forum.

More news on Jushin Enbu (Hero Tales) from ANN

The newly launched website for the Jyūshin Enbu: Hero Tales television anime series has announced the project's Fall 2007 premiere date, as well as its staff and cast. The first volume of Hiromu Arakawa's manga compilation has been scheduled for August 11, the same day as her Fullmetal Alchemist manga's volume 17.

Hero Tales' original story of mythological fantasy is credited to a Huan Jin-Zhou—an apparent pseudonym based on the Chinese characters for the "Golden Week" holidays. Osamu Sekita, the director of the Heavy Metal L-Gaim videos and a unit director on several Gundam series from the first one to Seed, will helm the project. In addition to drawing the manga, Hiromu Arakawa will be designing the characters that supervising animation director Naoki Sōsaka (Gundam Seed C.E. 73: Stargazer, Naruto) will adapt.

Video Girl Ai and Saber Marionette J's Mayori Sekijima will edit the scripts that Studio Flag (Naruto, Galaxy Angel) will animate. Tamiya Terashima is composing the music after having done the same for Key the Metal Idol and Tales from Earthsea.

Leading the cast as the hero Taitō will be Kenichi Suzumura, a prolific voice actor known for playing Rakushun in The Twelve Kingdoms and Hikaru in Ouran High School Host Club. Banjō Ginga (Gundam's Gihren Zabi, Metal Gear Solid games' Liquid Snake) will play the general Keirō. Acting as Taitō's friend and sparring partner Ryūkō is Takahiro Sakurai (Final Fantasy franchise's Cloud Strife, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion's Suzaku).

Media Factory will sell a limited volume 0 DVD, with a promotional video and a roundtable discussion with the main cast, at Animate stores in Japan and Tokyo's Comic Market 72 on August 17.
