Woah WTF? Yuu a mahou shoujo also? Does anyone know if it's because Ayumu got the power and that Yuu and Ayumu share some kind of bond she's possible us becoming a mahou shoujo?

Ayumu = Zombie + Mahou Shoujo
Yuu = Necromancer + Mahou Shoujo
Sera = Vampire + Ninja

what about haruna?
Haruna = Mahou Shoujo + something?

It looks like it wasn't really Kyoko's fault and there is a person controlling her. Great story hope there is a second season as this anime just get crazier every episode.

Ayumu also had red eyes when he touched Kyoko sword and she became naked, did he get the vampire power also?

I don't think Kyoko was possessed when she went killing all those people, I am sure that was of her own will.

Wow. It's been awhile since I've felt like this after watching anime. A sick, fucked-up fight scene if I ever saw one, and with that said it was a great episode.

also yeah i didnt care for dai sensei, she doesnt seem to be very likable. If your gonna teach these girls to use magic you need to show a bit of responsibility for their action i say or you shouldnt have the right to be upset if one of them is killed for their crimes

Holy shit, Kyouko! Do I feel bad for her or not? I don't know. Educated as a Masou Shoujo (I assume to do good), but went off her own way (did King of Night have influence?) to harvest on poor innocent lolis for her own sake.

The fight with Yuu and Ayumu itself was astounding, it emotionally cracked me up, too.

The fact that she has only one life left is something I predicted, but not something I actually expected when Yuu started to tell her to die. Last episode Kyouko said she had like 10 lives left (error?). It was only an approximation but Yuu told her rather often to die. I didn't count the times though. Add The Japanese Zombie Masou Shoujo Chainsaw Massacre, too...

So Yuu is both overpowered yet 'easy' to outdo To Aru Majutsu no Index-style. Btw. for some reason I had some Madoka Magica vibes as well after Yuu turned into a Masou Shoujo. A real surprise.

Ayumu's action was imo both justified and at the same time very cruel. But there was no other way around it. It's good that in the end Kyouko is left to live.
... Just to get kidnapped by the King of Night. DAMN!

Dai-sensei, please do something about that.

Well, about the King of Night, I imagine his evilness is kinda Yuu's fault so I assume he actually has a background story to him more sympathetic than Kyouko's simple "derived student life".

Anyway... goodness, I'm hoping for more lightheartedness next episode. And I can't wait for that rumoured Tomonori girl.

edit: Btw. did Ayumu plan on Chainsaw Massacring Kyouko to begin with? Only after Kyouko refused Ayumu's hand and argued with her own (wrong) viewpoint did he say "Then I will kill you until" etc. So to say, it made me think if Kyouko backed away and didn't react so rejectingly then she maybe would have been able to come to a compromise. Or maybe there's a meta meaning behind this that Ayumu killed off all her extra lives as a symbol to give them back to the ones she stole them from?

Who was in the preview segment with Ayumu? Dai Sensei? I can't make out the voice. lol @ Ayumu being a pervert offering a night "duet" with a lady. XD

And using words to kill is the most badass thing ever. That's god tier. If only it didn't come with the adverse effect.

Saturn Beaver Home of Silent Prayer Join Date: Mar 2010	Spoiler for Ep 6: OVERPOWERED. Seriously, she may have lost, but under normal circumstances it's very difficult to defeat Eu if you're not almost immortal. But yeah, the battle is epic, Ayumu is badass, good time all around. I think the excitement wore thin a bit at the end, and I don't like Dai-sensei, but the fight is undeniably awesome. Still, it's the little bit that I love, like Haruna realizing she cares about Yuu (I think anime padding here works well, as it shows them doing stuffs for a while) and Sera being nice to Ayumu by offering him to name her (awesome) sword technique. Lots of revelations too, like King of the Night as a zombie raised and killed by Yuu, Kyouko is possessed by KotN and is originally Dai-sensei's student, and the preview bit at the end...I wonder what it is? The 'epilogue' at the end is nice too, good to see Yuu, and the rest of the group, enjoying themselves together. __________________

Midonin Last Engage Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: Florida	Spoiler for Necronomica Magi Eucliwood Magica 06 - In Spite of Appearances: Despite the horror setting and amount of blood spilled, this show still has a warm, fuzzy heart. Friendship is still present, and even this Kyoko, like the other one, might not even be all that bad. Driven mad by power, perhaps, but there's still a good person somewhere in there. Seeing the world momentarily become white on black was freaky, and it was nice to see Ariel in person. The bookends with the first episode were also pretty nice. Circular storytelling is a good technique when used right. Somewhat postmodern, a bit world weary, but ultimately, things turn out alright here. The median of magical girls for this season, which always makes it a warm place to return to.
