Punishing? If it was the hardest difficulty then yes. Otherwise ME2 wasn't that great in term of combat cuz of cover overuse.

That's the thing, I am not that good with using cover and frankly, I am not a fan of shooters as mentioned previously.

If you are used to shooting games then I am sure it was easy. But as a member of the ignored, laughed at and hated RPG gamer class, ME2 was a chore.

I am not a fan of shooting too, expect Counter Strike: Source, but combat still felt easy, if you didn't do stupid mistakes.

To be frank, I think Ashley looked worse than I remembered from ME1...

None the less, it is irrelevant as in my world she went boom. And I did not regret it. I just wish the game didn't force me to praise her sacrifice so much or talk about how good of a person she was suppose to be. She died because I killed her, that's all there is to it.

I think I blame the camera angle. No one ever looked good with the camera pointing up at their nostrils.

I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favorite news on the forums.

Glad to see the customization (RPG elements) seem to be making a return to ME1. Hopefully this means the combat will return to the more open and varied style of the original rather than the corridors-with-boxes cover shooting in ME2.

Looking at both the characters is nightmare fuel. With Ashley, I hope it's the angle. With Shepard... I'm glad I customized his face. Otherwise, every waking moment, I expect:

The leaked beta was in a very incomplete state with missing textures and people around stuck in walls and placeholder voice actors in many places. You can even see a weird twitch with Ashley in the gif i posted. I expect the final product will be different of course.

I really like Ashley's revamped face/hair, but I'm not pleased with her almostcatsuit. She had heavy armour in me1/2 and now she is wearing some kinda space wedges and a catsuit? Wat? I thought Bioware said she would have heavy armour when fans started hissing about her ensemble? I guess not; or maybe it's just a placeholder?

What is the deal about only two conversation options, tho? Is this the dreaded cutting edges or just a work in process thing? FFFFFUUUUU

And I kinda like Beefcake Gorillaface. My FemShep wants to go cougar on him.

Now that would be awkward, seeing as she is a Spectre now. Imagine how she'd feel like taking direct orders from all those aliens. Yikes!

Actually Ashley never let her personal views impact her duties.

That still is no excuse for who she is though. That's why she is now radioactive Space Dust in my world.

All these leaks and no one bothered to make a Femshep to see how the default one looks like?

Heh.

Well, one thing's for certain. The goal in ME3 is to assemble the largest coalition fleet in the galaxy. They just spelled it out. Renegades are going to be just slightly handicapped, me thinks.

EDIT: It seems Renegade Shep is going to get a different intro, so maybe not.

Hmm, looks like the current build still has the global cooldown on abilities. I hope they change that.
