very strange show

Looks like this shows soul purpose is to make fun of itself and the stereotypes it will come to adopt to tell whatever stories it's going to tell. I had to re-watch that dialogue about Crab couple of time to sink in the fact, yes indeed, crabs are being blamed for why Hitagi has lost so much weight. And somehow or other, the concept of vampire is incorporated in the mix of all that is so unusual.

Strange show indeed! However, the fun part is undeniable. Hence, will continue. Oh looky.. my dl is almost finished.

Official site updated with Hitagi Crab Part Two screens. Totally reminded me of ef and a little bit of Natsu no Arashi! for some reason… probably because the first screen's layout and second screen's shadow.

Really hope they don't use ef direction on that scene…

In anycase, this is interesting, the few characters introduces seem pretty neat, and the main heroine has alot of room to grow as the series goes on.

I will keep watching it.

The who of what? Exactly which character are you referring to as I see no clear "heroine" in the show thus far?

I assumed that because I read something incorrectly about that on Wiki.

However, I think she will become that anyway.

Genres include romance and comedy. I guess its not always the case, but I do know that she will be an important character. So eh, let me get away with that one.

Well just by virtue of the show I wouldn't call anything "clear" heh, but if someones going to be mentioning a heroine already I think its safe to say our weightless girl who got the bulk of the attention this episode would qualify.

Hm, I think I found it hard to understand since the series (well 1st episode of it anyhow) has this very strong episodic feel to it, so naturally I instinctively didn't put any relevance on any of the characters exept the male lead. It smells of that Mushishi and Kino No Tabi style. I'll take it that's not the case?

Well, from the plot analisys on wiki, that seems to be the case actually.

But it wont be entirely episodic, as it seems alot of characters and events that occured previously wll play a role in future episodes.

Oh looky, an interesting show! Just watched the first episoded subbed and I must say this is very interesting.

One thing that I have always liked about Shaft animes are the character interactions, which, at least for me, blow many other studios out of the park.

I'm going to keep following this show for sure.

This and Canaan are two pleasant surprises for the season.

I have to agree. She's got all the qualities of a main heroine so well practiced she might as well be the queen of all main heroines. She certainly thinks she is.

I'm not really sure about this anime being episodic though. I suppose there's a possibility, but I'd prefer that it wasn't the case. But then, it's kind of hard to say how it could go at this point. My only hope is that Senjogahara remains a main part, since they developed her character so well in such a short amount of time.

Back to topic, now after watching it subbed (since I missed almost all the innuendo) elevated the shows value. I hope some group is up to the task, though it seems really hard for the translator.

I think that will now be her official nickname on this forum! The Staples Ninja! That first episode kind of feels like a train wreck between Kara no Kyoukai and Ef: A Tale of Memories to me...
