Obviously not. Just because she's been out of the story for a while doesn't mean the author dislikes her.

That is possible, but she only uses her dialect when she get's emotional and all. I don't think she is made fun of at school anymore.

Yeah, but there's a fine line between "adding to the drama" and overkill. I'm kind of afraid it's going to drift twords the latter before all is said and done.

i personally think there's a high chance of her falling for him:

1) if she is the akari replacement, the original had (in my opinion at least) strong(er) feelings for haruto
2) that whole blush thing was a dead give away
3) since she was a loner, i doubt she has dated anyone, fresh girls are always easy picks
4) it happened to every other major girl character, so might as well happen with her
5) eba has not been shown for the longest time so this new character better not be haruto fodder

I go with your number five expect she's probably just fodder. All the others have, even Nanami. So unless we get thrown a curveball she's just another notch in his player belt...

Further, I waited and waited to contribute something worthwhile hoping that my comments would either prove right or wrong. However, I feel Seo is overdramatizing his manga here. This happened in Jane Austin's Sense and Sensibility and took one of her potentially best novels, and made it flat at the end. Good drama is a gaussian curve. He is building so much tension I am afraid when it comes down it will be more like falling off a cliff. Hence, the flat ending.
